Luckily, found a wire, wrapped it around the two terminals to pass on the spark between them. It worked. After this I could drive the bike max upto 3rd gear and had to maintain rpm upwards 3k in every gear, or it would stall.

Went to SVC this morning, got a new adapter. Cost 82/-
Looks like somebody stole /vandalized it when you parked it in the hotel. If it had come off while running then you would have noticed it immediately.

The end of the wire could have been fixed to the spark-plug end by pushing it on the threads(might have required re-routing of the HT CABLE).

Engine ran poorly due to sparking at two points that is :-
    1. At wire to plug gap and
    2.
    Plug to electrode gap.

    • Today i found something and thought to let you people know about this.
I found Mahle Filter System Pvt. Ltd. is the OE to Hero MotoCrop and to various other companies
They may be supplying air filters for bikes that are equipped with paper air filters, i dont know but you guys can check and can buy directly from supplier.
Mahle | Customers | OEM Customers

Also found that Endurance System pvt ltd makes good suspensions for bikes. I dont know how much they are reliable, but if anyone know anything about their shocks, pls let me know.

Yes,mahle filters are very good. I use their filters in my Indigo. (Apart from Purolator and Elofic)

If I am correct Endurance suspensions are used in Bajaj Pulsar and they are not that great. Munjal Showa suspensions are far better.

            • Burning smell from my engine after running even for a few kms[problem I mentioned a few pages back], could it be because the a/f mixture is excessively lean? Please help people.

My friend recently changed footrest's grommets for 50 a pair. Finding one for gear shifter shouldn't be a problem.

                I don't get this O.o Anything wrong?

Since yours is a new bike , it has vibrations , mine has done 3500 and still has vibes, hero bikes have tight tolerances and take 5k-10k to completely open up , also vibes in that zone are due to resonance imo, you can try tightening engine mounting bolts and lubing chain , they dampen vibrations to some extent

Does it smell somewhat like burning/baking paint ? If the bike has done less than 1500 kms then it is perfectly normal. Common on all the bikes having painted(or powder coated)engines.

All xtremes vibrate at 50-60 kmph because at that speed in 5th gear ,it is in the 4-5K RPM range.
The vibrations aren't bad at all. It can be felt only on the handle bars and gives a soothing massage to wrists.

Vibrations will go down considerably once you cross the ~10k kms mark.
People refer to Unicorn as the smoothest bike because it doesn't make much noise because of its highly restricted silencer/exhaust but when compared to xtreme, unicorn vibrates like hell at those RPM.

                    • Hi Guys,

Completed a weekend ride on hills this weekend with friends to Masoorie, Uttrakhand and I must say tht bike perform very well in almost every dept., We done railroading, Highway run, Hills turns n twists and city riding, Specially I feel that bike perform very well in third and forth gear it accelerate very good, After to complete the happily 19K on odo the very first time I have crossed the RPM needle to 9K at the speed of 114KMPH.
Apart from this while doing uphills at around 6000 feet from sea level our carb bikes struggle somewhere to accelerate because of less air, I think fuel injected bikes can do well in these conditions.
Here are some pic which we have taken.......Enjoy..

Yes, i too believe Endurance suspensions are used in Pulsars. They give up in short time than the Munjal Showas. But they cost less compared to Hunk's original GRS (Rs.1500 vs Rs.3500).
Today I found a first gen Hunk in traffic signal with Endurance suspension, may be he would have opted for it for more softer feel and less price.

I recently read an RD350 restoration project, that costed many thousands, and was surprised to see him using Hunk's rear shock absorbers in RD!

                        • Looks like my mileage is off target again. Someone please look at the picture below and tell me what the mixture might be. I got 45km/100 rupees last time and that equates to an average of 32kmpl.

                          • I think you are running bit lean , as the plug seems white . I am not so sure , did you try switching bunks , i got a 10km jump just by switching bunks . What is your hot and cold rpm ?

+1 to this. Try to get fuel from COCO pump and check mileage as your plug is almost perfect.

                              • Hi All,
I own CBZ Xtreme DDS with 23k on odo. I usually change the engine oil @ 1800km. But from last two times I'm observing that the volume of drained oil is approximately 650 ml.
But, there in no smoke from exhaust neither there is any loss in pickup.
I'm using shell advance AX7 SS oil since 17k on odo. Kindly elaborate whether this is worn ring issue or something else
I hope to get some advice from all you experts
                                Please help....
