Veedol take off 4t will last for 2500 kms. But if it is too old( say more than 3 months) and if you are ripping ur bike then it should last for 1800-2000 kms

if yours is Hero Xtreme the afr would be between 1.5 to 2 turns out, this is a vague range as afr changes for each bike.

If you want to tune carb yourself , you can follow sibun's guide. I did that tune and it is still the same .

Bro I guess m running lean because i tried ripping her on stand still up to 6000-7000 rpm & needle came down normally, but when i was riding her on highway n took her to 7000 rpm, it was falling down slowly.

On neutral or stand still bike wont have any momentum , but while moving it will have momentum while will make deceleration of bike slower hence needle falls slowly, a symptom of running lean would be difference of 5-600 or more rpm difference in cold and hot condition. Mine idles at 1400 when hot and 1100 while stone cold .

Don't get worried too much.
Check the symptoms RohIIT mentioned.
Are you facing any cold start issues now? If not, you are probably not running lean.
Also, check your mileage once.

Do not get paranoid on the tuning thing as from your description i can make out that the person who has tuned the bike knows a thing about tuning the bike. Nothing to worry and even if he has tuned it wrong we can always make it right. So nothing to worry.Symptoms of lean tuning is rpm falling slowly when bike is revved in neutral, engine racing when hot, and bike knocking when pulled from low rpm in high gear, Symptoms of rich mixture are bike rpm decreasing on getting hot, bike not acceerating freely when hot, and a blunt top enf performance. If both these symptoms are not there nothing to worry.

Why do you want to open a perfectly working engine for this small problem. No need of even re=threading. Just take it to a Lathe and ask them to use a oversize drain bolt and also use a tap to oversize the drain bolt thread. In a matter of Rs. 50 your problem will be solved.No need of opening the engine or even re-treading. Just using an oversize drain bolt and re-threading the casting using Tape is all. Most lathe knows what to do.

Can anyone tell me drain period for VEEDOL TAKE OFF 4T premium oil. Its almost 1100kms from oil fill. Should i replace it now..?

one of my friend turned that screw and faced performance issues, then he went to showroom and checked the screw position of the showcased bike and did his reset. for you, i think you need to give it to ASC, because i think you may not know how much did that guy turned the screw.
between, are you using VEEDOL...? i suppose you are using the same grade 10W30. i tried many oil and finally satisfied with hero oil only.

fully synthetic is useless for our bikes. donot cahnge to another grade. use only 10w30, i tried many but hero is the best.

Have you tried gulf pride 4t plus 10w30? It is way better than hero crap.

yea i heard so. but since i changed too much of brand/grade, i thought of stp changing and settled with hero. may i can give a try

I adjusted RPM to 1250-1300RPM. 1500 RPM in hot condition & 1200-1300 in cold condition.

No cold start issues now. Bike started with one thumb start that too in morning

Also previously bike was struggling a lot to idle after starting, now idling is normal.

Ok bro. As u suggested not to touch carb setting that's why i was worried but now things seems to be fine. Just need to check with mileage. If its all fine then no issue.

I am using VEEDOL take off 4t premium 10w30 mineral oil. HERO oil & veedol oil both are provided from same manufacturer i.e. TIDE water. Veedol oil is much better than hero one. after 1000 km hero oil start shwoing age, making engine little harsh, heat up. Using veedol now & no such issues had been faced till that too after 1100 kms. Din`t know about veedol`s drain interval that why asked..

Hero oil comes from three vendors
1) Tide water co (Veedol)
2) Savita chemicals
3) Bharat petrolium (Mak)
