From past few days, I am facing oil leak issue from Tensioner lifter assembly area as well as crankshaft hole cap area.
Below are the images for more clarity.
Whether changing both the gaskets will solve the issue, or should it be thoroughly checked?

Also, There is some problem with the front forks as well, since whenever I use front brakes there is some vertical play in the handle bar as if something is loose
What should I do to fix these problems.
    • I am wondering, how a leakage can be possible from a chain tensioner?
    • Wipe the area to clean it dry because it might be some spill of oil.
    • Moreover you can tighten the bolts if they are loose.
    • After all this if your problem continues then replace the gasket.

    • For that crankshaft hole cap, replace the o-ring.

Lokesh, may be you are not aware about my xtreme's service history.

My bike's cylinder kit was replaced 2 months ago. During the installation, all the packing's and gaskets were replaced except the tensioner and silencer gasket because these gaskets were not provided in the new cylinder kit.
Moreover, I had already cleaned the whole engine area with kerosene, but the leakage again started from these two points.

I had also replaced the o-rings of crankshaft hole cap and timing hole cap on the same day, but still there is some leakage

The crank bolt access screw on the crank case is fitted with a "O" ring and if it is past it's life or fitted wrongly, then oil leak can happen...for this either replace the "O" ring, or if it still persists, use any of the Gasket sealants to stop the oil leak....If you overfill the engine oil, the excess oil will spill over to the Rotor side of the crankcase and starts to leak through the screw...so try to maintain correct oil levels......
The Timing chain tensioner has a Gasket to seal ....if it is crushed , and or not replaced when removing/replacing the tensioner, then oil will leak through it...for this also you have to replace the gasket , or you can use Gasket to seal it properly....

I want to tune my bike carb, it ran only 900 kms, is it safe to tune it at 900 kms?
Is this tuning screw is correct which is denoted by A.
Where is the air pipe between the carb and the head, that a rubber pipe is fitted to carb insulator, and a brass pipe which we have to close it with finger.

          thanks in advance.

Why do you want to tune your bike?

I'll say Strictly NO. Don't touch the carb. Let the bike run more, say about 2500kms, n let the SVC tune the bike

No one can know the correct tuning by just looking at the picture you posted

Depends on the performance and mileage you have to decide!! Blindly don't touch the carb and you shud know what u r doing first!! This is one of the critical task but looks simple
If your bike is fine performing then don't touch it

                        Guys,

I have just completed a 1200 kms ride on my Hunk, four of us went to Munsiari and Binsar, Uttrakhand on our bikes, Bikes behaved just flaw less just expect on those extreme up hill roads where every machine struggle a bit due to less air, The path was full of path holes and I must say suspension of the bike managed to eat every hole very well....

Just one question I want to ask is that one of my co rider on FZ had removed his air filter when we reached at hills for more air and power output from the bike, I must say I rode his bike and it was feeling very good simply superb, I also thought to do same with my hunk but didn't do that....Is it safe for our engine to remove the air filter even on hills as we know there air is quit clean....?

I think at present bike run on lean mixture, rpm increases fast but very slowly comes down to idle. It slightly hesitates to go above 60, at 60Kmph feels like it is loosing petrol, some vibration is also felt at that speed.
Mileage is OK. I wonder how many owner say that he drive her xtreme @80-90 Kmph.

One more query, if the tensioner gasket is replaced then do we need to adjust the ignition timing again.

Ignition timing cannot be adjusted ...it is set by the CDI and the Pickup coil pulses.....so just change the tensioner's gasket, and the "O" ring of the side screw
