IIRC, Sibun and Sarbanoxley had tried Unicorn sprockets and posted their experiences here.
I believe they both reverted to their stock setting later.
Check for posts couple of months back.

Sibun and i have done it ...the uni sprocket costs Rs150 ....good for highway cruising ...you wont feel the need to change gears often ...gearing becomes taller. The bike becomes very relaxed and this is the first thing you will notice but the pickup will go down a bit.

Yeah reverted back to check the mileage on stock sprocket...but i still love the uni sprocket for highway rides .

You changed the pistons but have you thought of the cylinder. The worn piston would have worn out the bore in master cylinder. The bore in master cylinder is aluminum and if not serviced time to time then will wear out same as your bore piston kit. In your case the bore in master cylinder has worn out and thus piston didn't result in much improvement.

BYBRE mass cylinders are oversized than KBX i think, thats why the flow of brake fluid is better than KBX

BYBRE are nothing but partnership between KBX and BREMBO. Previously it was KBX and now it is BYBRE.
No, they are not oversize. They are same size and the reason is as mentioned above
            .
and i am using forged levers (for front brake and clutch) its looks better
Is it same as from APACHE or some other bikes. More details please and if possible photos.

in my place there is no availability for CASTROL BRAKE FLUID DOT4, so i am using DOT3 now
is there any one knows where i can buy DOT4 brake fluid in KERALA-THRISSUR
Go to place who stocks car lubricants. You can get DOT4 fluid from them. Alternatively go to any maruti service center and ask for 250 ml can of DOT4 fluid, you will get easily. After using seal it properly as you can use it next time.
            Find answers in bold.

Dot 4 fluid is synthetic and thus has better properties than dot 3. Use Dot 4 fluid, Kbx pads and see the difference. Your brake will sometimes surprise you by very hard bite.
And regarding your brake sound, see i had told you that the metal strip was the culprit. Most of the mechanics are donkeys and never know what to do.I am lucky that my mechanic is best one and i learned a lot from him. Always ask me before going for any work on your bikes.

Keep us in the loop regarding the Master Cylinder, cost, part number etc. I'm eager to get the Bybre Master Cylinder on my bike as well. Again, my previous query(s): :P
            • Can we change our handle bar grips to that of the R15/FZ? Not for fashion, but for function. The handle bar grips on the FZ/R15 are of top class quality and offer good grip on the throttle, our is a little slip prone in that department especially after it rains. Or any other grips that will fit properly and are made from good, grippy rubber? (And please, I do not want that yuck foam grip cover that some people put, looks :P in my opinion)
The best grip is provided by splendor grips. If you like then use splendor grips. Punch a hole at the sides for the bar ends to pass through. They will provide the best grips. For your knowledge splendor grip cost more than extreme grips. Each one will cost you approx Rs.50.
            • Can we put 100/90 tyres up front and 110/90 tyres at the back? Both 18 inch. I'm asking because I'm sure that a few CBZ/Hunk owners might be interested in Pirelli Sport Demons for their bikes, but are not sure if the 100/90 and 110/90 will fit on their bikes. The 110/90 should not really be an issue as SatSon has a similar setup AFAIK. But I'm not sure about the front. I'm sure the mileage will drop a little, what other change(s) can be expected by upsizing?

Never use 100/90 at front as the feedback will go for a toss and the handle will feel very heavy and ponderous. Use 80/100-18 from the new extreme. For the rear go for 110/80 or 100/90 as OE but more grippy than OE.
            Reply in bold.

            Thanks.
Since sarbonoxely has already posted the experience, i will add, i have been using the same in my Joy for past 2 years and i drain it at 3k. I have not used it in my extreme. Since my Joy engine is very smooth and also gear shift is very smooth(requiring just a touch of gear lever and no pressing) so i cannot comment on it but the engine revs very fast and also maintains the temperature for long. It will heat up quick but after sometime it will stabilize and engine will never overheat.

I thought initially it was from chain but under close scrutiny it was engine oil (golden in color)

i managed to take a picture of it from where it is leaking...

Can you please throw some light in this regard n what is possibly wrong ...

I have seen this from two days but first i looked in my bike then i am replying. It is the bolt holding the neutral switch to the engine. It cannot leak from there but it is leaking from somewhere else and flowing towards this bolt. Go to an outside mechanic and open the front sprocket cover and check. You will get the source and cause.

Yes i checked the oil level its near full. But still it has lost good 30-40ml...

Today at 9 am i went to Svc nearest to my place..They said " Bhaiya servicing me lagao gaadi..."

I said its only 500km from last service there`s no point in it...oil is fine..i just have this minor problem...

Their reply " Are Bhaiya servicing karwa hi lo na ..Gaadi ke liye accha hai...waise bhi kitni gandi hai..and revved it to max for sec ."

I went straight to their supervisor and spoke on this regard..He said he will get my bike done within our or so...

The mechanic who checked said "Neutral Switch Problem hai"

They took 3 hr in changing a part and even made me pay for the part ..I said it`s in warranty..but they were reluctant..

            anyways i paid since 40rs wasn't much...

Now in evening when i checked it again it`s still leaking by drop...

I am now in state of utter disappointment...We get our bikes from hard earned money and that`s the service we get..

Please people i am under shade of yours help now as there is no mech competent enough in this place we know as Automated Workshops...
Leave the laps of service center and find a good independent mechanic. They will be happy and will work with interest because they will get customers with there work. The showroom mechanic knows that they will get salary even if they do not solve problems. But this is SVC problem.

Pls note that I'm still using Gulf 20w 40 and my mileage is 43.4 km/l Shall i switch back to 10w 30 and if semi-synthetic / fully synthetic is a good idea ?

43.4kmpl is a decent average on a hunk. IMO a w30 oil is not really suited to tropical indian climate(temperatures, especially in summers) if the bike is ridden hard/long rides. w30 does its job if you are using it on short runs of around 10km.
i personally will stay away from castrol , and why dont you try the shell ax7/motul/veedol xxw40 oils instead if you are looking for a change in the brand of oil.

Since the Dazzler is a 110/80 17 inchers at the back. I doubt the 17 or 18 matters too much. It also uses the same rear disc assembly as the CBZ/Hunk. So I guess it should be ok.

Also, I managed to get the R15 grips for Rs 65 today. I tried swapping them, but then there was an protrusion on the part of the accelerator grip that holds the cable that was bigger than the stock grips. So no change yet. :P
Although it didn't work, I am thoroughly happy that I managed to get my hands dirty and learn how to open up the accelerator assembly myself AND put it back together without much fuss.

EDIT: I got the Grips from the R15 fixed. Needed a little bit of cutting, but it fit well after that. The grip end exactly at the end of our handlebar, so the bar end 'weights' looked a little ugly. Altered that also a bit and it looks and feels just like how I want it to.

Even 120/80 fits on Hunk, hence 110/90 should be direct fit on Xtreme.

Nice to see the changes on your bikes. I read it completely in TEAMBHP.
Nice to know about your experiences and all. Regarding your damaged master cylinder screw go to a mechanic and he will do it for you. He will take a sharp punch and open it by hammering it. Next get bajaj chetak headlight screw and fit. The chetak headlight screw are flat headed screw and not philips head like this one and thus it becomes easier to open next time.
Regarding your brakes, i read in TEAMBHP, no need to change to new master cylinder, instead go for KBX pads and DOT 4 brake fluid. From your post i can see, you are using Dot 3 oil and using Dot 4 oil will increase your breaking efficiency a lot. Buy a 250 ml can(anyways dot 4 is not available in smaller packs) and change both front and rear disc oil.

                            • Switch to semi synthetic if you want. But in my honest opinion , ride atleast till 15-18k before switching over to full synthetic. Let there be some wear and tear , let the valves set in . You can then use full synthetic oil and it will give best results.

Also changed the brake fluid. I used TVS Girling DOT4 fluid. Its pretty cheap at Rs. 90 for 250 ml. The change is obvious. Brake bite and response has increased.
