i also thought the same...Originally posted by SatSon View PostI am using 120/80 in rear, with out modifications, but I had to remove the lower chain cover,as tyre was rubbing it slightly.
I guess 110/80 would be direct fit, If I remember correct someone had mentioned about the same in this thread.
now i m goin for MRF zapper y...

Well, I'm referring to the sharpness of the brakes. FZ and R15 have brakes which respond fairly sharply. The Hunk's brakes on the other hand, seem to be more 'soft'.Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P

as we get used to our disk brakes, if we apply same force on a pulsar of fz, it get locked ?
btw r15 v2 have nissin disk brakes
as nissin logo is not present in front brake, it might be some local brand

My stock Hunk 2012 came with a 110/80 MRF Zapper (tubeless). The grip is not much in the stock rear.Mine is 2008 Hunk, it comes with tuff-up at rear and not tubeless. The current 120/80 is MRF zapper, please see the pic below.Originally posted by ashwin.terminator View PostNo swingarm changes, he just removed the lower half of the chain case. And agreed, the wet grip available in the Zapper isn't confidence inspiring. Bike tends to fishtail sometimes.
And the mileage, well, mine varies between 40 and 45 with occasional bursts to 70 odd. Highly dependent on quality of fuel and throttle action. In my case, a circumstantial mixture of Shell Unleaded Petrol and Indian Oil gave me 46kmpl and 44kmpl once.
Update: Dazzler chain guard not available with the Stockist near JC Road, Bangalore. Expects to receive stock next week. So will try next week.
If I remember correct, as per manual the stock tyre for my bike was 100/90 and not 100/80.
As Ashwin said I removed the lower half of chain cover, but it was slightly touching the upper chain cover still, but after say 1000 kms, tyre got rubbed off, now its rotating freely
@ Ashwin, waiting for your Hunk mod with Dazzler chain cover!

I don't know the brand used in the front brake assembly. But I do doubt the FZ's will fit considering the FZ using a 267mm disk while the Hunk has a 240mm disk. Just my guess, not sure.Originally posted by christo View Postwhich brand brakes do the hunk use?

Exactly! The R15, FZ Series and Pulsar front discs are extremely sharp. They need a bit of practice to use effectively and not cause a lockup. But once you get used to it, nothing like it.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Postooh i got it,

I'm waiting for it too. But knowing Honda's spares availability, I'm assuming it'll take a bit longer than a week.Originally posted by SatSon View PostMine is 2008 Hunk, it comes with tuff-up at rear and not tubeless. The current 120/80 is MRF zapper, please see the pic below.

Yes, FZ uses a large disk, which means the front fork outer tube which holds the calipers also need to be changed, the front forks of FZ won't fit into Hunk as it has thick forks. Also need to check on feasibility of fitting that disc to Hunk alloys !Originally posted by ashwin.terminator View PostI don't know the brand used in the front brake assembly. Well, I dont think so. I think FZ rotor can be fitted on ours. If I m right, all u have to do is drill some holes on the rotor (as per the mounting points on our alloy) and it should fit.Originally posted by SatSon View PostYes, FZ uses a large disk, which means the front fork outer tube which holds the calipers also need to be changed, the front forks of FZ won't fit into Hunk as it has thick forks. Regarding calipers, one should have to design and custom make a piece of plate (in a lathe) that extends the caliper mount points from the forks. Just look at an RTR/Zma caliper to understand what I m saying.
I was actually thinking over this same thing all this morning, and I think it is actually possible.MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

Changing forks is out of the question. I love the suspension on the bike and wouldn't change it for the world.Originally posted by SatSon View PostYes, FZ uses a large disk, which means the front fork outer tube which holds the calipers also need to be changed, the front forks of FZ won't fit into Hunk as it has thick forks. Oh no, changing the rotor is not really an option. Requires way too much effort.Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostWell, I dont think so. I think FZ rotor can be fitted on ours. And regarding the calipers, yes, I actually have noticed the extension of sorts. Don't know how much it's feasible though.

Forget the effort part of it. My issue is basically drilling holes and stuff. You see, I believe in direct fits.(Yes, I am strange.
) I don't like making too many mods to make one mod work. More of a plug and play kind of person.

U kinda spoiled my spirit with your first post.
Once I get enough free time, I might actually take this up. Lets see then.

Issue being, the rotor itself is quite expensive at around 2k IIRC.
Don't know for sure, but that is the rough idea I have.
