The lube will not last that long. As I said, longevity is the ultimate goal. Chains with any form of engine oil as lube will need to be lubed far more often than a chain lubed with SAE90 or the like.

I had handle wobbling problem right from day 1.that problem had been solved last week by replacing the rear tyre. Now riding is absolute pleasure.
Engine harshness is quite common in new engine.I read and heard many times that hero honda engines will take atleast 7 to 8k kms to open up fully.my bike is 5k km old now and its becoming smooth day by day.Changing the engine oil at right interval is the key factor so as the initial riding style during run-in period.
I haven't faced starting related issues till now..touch wood..

                i'm getting 50~55 mileage

woobling issue is not a common problem i think because Arjun_shetty 's woobling culprit was his rear mrf zapper y , in my case it was due to wrongly tightned handle bar. any one else her have this issue?

for the last few weeks i ride my cbz only during weekends ie abt 20kms in a week
yet now no starting trouble with battery but once some dirt went inside and blocked spark plug and gave me some trouble

                -------

when i meet some one usually my old friends or some relatives then "Aha you got new byke?" then looks thoroughly "Cbz? why went for it? its low mileage and low resale value"

I don't know why. even some say "the milage is 35 and how much are you getting"
any previous version cbz giving low milage?

and the resale value, I never bought it for selling but to ride it as long as I can

+1 to that abhishek. Even when I bought the Hunk earlier this year, I received weirder comments than what I thought I would. Sample this:

                  1. Why waste money on a low mileage bike when you're just new into your job? A 100cc could have sufficed esp when the fuel prices are on fire!
                  2. What resale value do you expect?
                  3. You could have bought a Nano instead (safer)!
                  4. Ohho, now I suppose you will charm girls as you ride!
                  5. Dude....this is awesome for stunting (apparently stoppies!) coz the bike being front heavy, it can do amazing stoppies!
                  6. Why a HH when you could have gone for the 'original' Honda?!
                  7. Isme P220 wala mazaa nahi hai yaar!!

                  etc....whew!

Thankx Abhishek and Arjun for you insight and its amazing that you get a mileage of 50-55 on CBZ(150cc), Pulsar has become too common now a days in the streets that's why I wanted to stay away from it but the mileage(55-60) that Pl135 gives is the only reason that prompted me to consider it....

If others could still give their mileage it would help a great deal...

                    Thankx again

My daily commuting of 26kms through congested streets and roads of Chennai gives me 40 kmpl always. My rear tyre is 120/80, chain/sprockets are partially worn etc.
So a properly maintained stock bike would definitely give 45-50 in the city.

I had reported poor mileage figures before in this thread, but that was due to the riding conditions and other factors, no blame on bike !

So if you love Xtreme/Hunk go for it, you won't have to regret.

                      • Hey SatSon, did u make any modifications to the swingarm/chain guard? Won't a 120/80 tyre scrape the chainguard a bit? Which tyre did you install? Tubeless?

My stock Hunk 2012 came with a 110/80 MRF Zapper (tubeless). The grip is not much in the stock rear.

No swingarm changes, he just removed the lower half of the chain case. And agreed, the wet grip available in the Zapper isn't confidence inspiring. Bike tends to fishtail sometimes.

And the mileage, well, mine varies between 40 and 45 with occasional bursts to 70 odd. Highly dependent on quality of fuel and throttle action. In my case, a circumstantial mixture of Shell Unleaded Petrol and Indian Oil gave me 46kmpl and 44kmpl once.

Update: Dazzler chain guard not available with the Stockist near JC Road, Bangalore. Expects to receive stock next week. So will try next week.

Are you sure its 110/80...should be 100/90...dazzler comes factory fitted with 110/80 tubeless at rear.. 17 " alloys though..

Yes, I got a 100/80 as well. Another question from my end. The bite in the front brakes of the new HH Hunk are nowhere as close to the bite available in the rear disks. I'm assuming it's because the Rear Disk Calipers are made by Nissin while the front don't seem to be of the same company.
I was wondering, is it possible to switch the front brake assembly with a similar assembly from Nissin or Bybre or anything else with a bit more bite?
From what I observed, the FZ series seem to have the right apparatus for the purpose. Is this feasible?
