      Electricals
      etc.

Why not make a separate thread in the DIY section only for Xtreme and the Hunk? Let us not make it a general discussion thread. Only a problem solving thread especially dedicated to DIYs related to these 2 bikes.

We can scavenge through the existing thread in the Ownership Experience sub-forum and post links (of images and page nos.) that pertain to the 2 jewels of Hero.

    Further suggestions awaited!
Volunteers needed to pool in with their knowledge and resources.

P.S. We can also decide on a questionnaire format for the people seeking solution for their problems on these two.
I guess there are not many DIY'ers own Xtreme/Hunk !
Or most of us are experts in DIY stuffs?

    • @sourabh...As the tyre is new cannot comment on the performance.will take atleast 500kms to settle in.Its raining here in b'lore, wet grip seems to be ok,far better than zapper y.Grip on sand is also reasonably good.Actually first I bought dunlop monster 100/90 tubeless, but due to beading problem in that tyre,I bought geo.
Last week had been to service station many times regarding wobbling issue. The service manager became kinda close to me and offered me that deal. They even arranged new alloy for rear to confirm that problem was not with alloy, but with the tyre.

        • done 3rd service at 3.9k

tightened the chain so i feel little hard ride,

svc guy said the wobbling at rear wheel is due to tight handle bar, so they adjusted it, need a pillion to check the wobbling

          done Teflon coating, really shiny.

gear shifts become smoother on 3 4 n 5 but 2nd is still little hard

          experiencing no big changes

Same here, and its increasing day by day. One reason i guess is that another hero bike IMPULSE was not a success.I cant understand why most of us go for same Pulsar . Even Apache is less considered.

@ Antidrag Side cowls : are u not happy with the stock Ones ??

Why dont u try Colored parking LED and light under ur tank to lit the engine from both sides. Stickering is another option.

If u need any help regarding any of the above, just ask us.

                      • my rear wheel wobbling issue solved, as per svc guys it was because of the handle bar tightness is not correct.

i am not sure that they fixed it by adjusting the tightness.

also read some where that the wobbling can be caused by wrong fitting of shocks.
I had this prob worsen after replacing my rear shocks.

so guys here check this before changing the tyres for this reason.

zapper q and zapper c available for cbz?

In my case almost everything was checked before changing the rear tyre.Even the rear alloy was changed for that matter.now running on stock alloy.
Zapper Q is availale but not tubeless.for 18 inch zapper C is available only in 3.00 size tube type.

Petrol / oil additives are not recommended. I have seen senior FM's also stating the same. I think you can safely avoid these.
4 stroke engines do not produce carbon to that extent to have much deposits on your engine soon.

Agreed. Additives to petrol aren't required for 4-Strokers. My guess is the Service Center is only saying to add on to your bill.

Also, that little rubber piece doesn't belong to the sides of the cylinder block. Doesn't fit in! Any other guesses?

By the way, anyone looking for additional performance on bikes derived from these engines:
