  • The 'toothed' ventilated disc design of Apache is a great design. It aids in heat dissipation while braking (might not be noticeable in the 150-200cc category) but 500cc+ and litre class bikes certainly would want to have such discs.
The design is such that it allows maximum surface area at the edges and provides superior bite and braking without locking

Most of the the litre class bikes and upwards have such front discs (double, in fact) :P

    • Guys, while closely 'inspecting' my baby, I happened to find a pipe/tube ending near the bottom of our main stands (in the Hunk). I am not sure where or what it is ::

      Any inputs?

and the question remains why do i race?

You should've seen four tubes! or is there only one in the new HUNK?
AFAIK, one is battery breather tube, one is petrol overflow tube from carb.
              Not sure about the rest.

RTR front disc is 270mm I believe.
So the front forks also need to the changed for fitting RTR discs.

                  • So the RTR disk installation 'may' be afterall possible, but it would also need to chande the wheel, calipers, and forks, which means its gonna cost a bomb.
So, anything else..? like after-market brake pads/lines or anything..?

                        +1

cant we just change the pads and pistons instead of the full disk?
also cbz is 14 kg heavier than rtr.

I am afraid if CBZ/Hunk has tank breather pipe. Tank overflow or carb overflow you was trying to say?

                            • Road accidents and rash driving...

Quite sadly, i am getting hit by other bikes often on road. Mostly on the sides and back of the bike. I did not get hurt till now but this is starting to scare me. The other day, a TVS50 wedgied his bike between my bike's back tire and silencer and when i turned back and looked at him, there was the same thing every other driver says, "SORRY" or sometimes they just look down and act like nothing happened. This is happening a lot more frequently in my CBZ Xtreme 2011 than my old Bajaj Boxer. Maybe my driving style is the culprit. Or is it? Maybe its cos of the increasing traffic. or even the growing rage in everyone due to all the price hikes that make them drive rash. What can we do except to not worry about this and hope it won't happen again when we are with a pillion rider. Hope people are in their senses when driving...
