my problem (related to swing arm and grs) has been solved lately....however the mechanic told me that he greased the bearings inside but u guys told me that it has bush
I am not sure about that. Expecting Pinaki Sir to confirm on the same.

Happy to know that the issue is resolved when swing arm bearings/bush were greased.

Guess its time for me as well to do the same, coz the rear suspension feel to be bit hard for me.

But you have mentioned there is petrol smell during noon, is it because petrol is getting overflowed from carb if you are not closing the fuel cock?
The probability is less for this in 4-stroke bikes, but do check it.

Petrol evaporating through key hole will not be enough to spread the smell like you have mentioned, I think.
Oh is it mandatory like to trun off the petrol while the engine is off?
i usually dont close it, but if i parking it for more than a day i will close it.

It is always advisable to close the fuel cock when you keep the bike after your ride for the day.

I never did this with my Splendor, but for Hunk I follow this. Also this is advised by other senior members as well.

I've seen overflow issue with two strokes like Max-100, Chetak etc if we do't close the fuel tap.

Just try this for a week and see for any difference?

no need to try it for a week, today till now no such huge smell of petrol around the byke,

but smells near the tank and under it, its usual i think

so is it a complaint that i should approch for a warrenty?

if i am getting 53kmpl on a single no stop highway ride on 55~65kmph
what should be the approx milage if 1l petrol is burned in 2~3 days in several rides of each 8~10 kms (i m getting 40~45)

Who says so!!! i love the hunk!! its muscular looks are eye catching!

i was so confused before buying cbz whether its the new cbz or the new hunk as the same engine just the looks but i went onto cbz cause of split seats and the new generation alloy wheels(like r15 2.0 and p200 ns) and somewhat liked the digi speedo of xtreme as it is bigger when compared to hunk! so opted for it!! Hunk is a beast though looks really good!!!

EDIT: According to hero website Hunk is given as the 3rd spot(3rd top end model of hero) and cbz 4th though cbz has more sales well atleast here in hyd it has

You are getting the right mileage I believe. For 2-3 days shuttle rides, mileage will be less and 45 kmpl for that is a decent figure IMO.

well, i'm not a fan of split seat and all. So hunk would do just fine.

no, i don't do stunts. I like to maintain my vehicle in good condition.

i had fazer in mind. Then later realised that it's not worth it.

Belive me guys, this bike goes like crazy after 80-85 kmph.
It was indeed a sweet discovery. I mean, the bike just zooms ahead. From 80 to 110 it took just around 10 seconds or so (rough figure).
The point here is, if you want to have beautiful acceleration, just be in the correct RPM
range. Coz, after the high speed run only I came to know how important the RPM range is. Afterward, I was riding like 4-7K and it was just OSSUM.
+1 Do you know the reason for the above performance. It is because at 6500 rpm Extreme/Hunk develops its maximum torque and at 8500 rpm it develops its maximum power. So as the engine reaches 6k rpm roughly translating to 80 kph it enters its torque band and continues to pull violently till 9k rpm somewhere around 110 kph after which it slows down to pull beyond. Although i haven't tested it on my extreme as it is new but has done it on my friends extreme a couple of times which has run for almost 1 lac km.
It is this quality which made me buy the extreme as i wanted it for my daily commute of 60 of superb NH 5. It helps in passing road blocking trucks, cars and bikes.
Slightly OT-Even i have seen that my HERO HONDA joy (which i use for daily commute of 100 km with 60 km on NH) Pulls violently from 70 kph to 100 kph even though it is only a 100 cc four stroke. My mechanic says that he has never seen any other 100 cc four stroke bike which crosses 100 kph so easily.
