    whats the perfect clutch position?
It seems your clutch setting went wrong!

As per Hunk manual, the ideal clutch play is 10-20mm.
As your bike is new, setting the clutch play to the above will resolve the problem, I think.
If still not able to get the right setting, get this done with a good mechanic around?

      Mileage
Used to give 48-52 till 3k kms. Then dropped to 40 exact. Its quite amazing infact. No matter what the ride/riding/road conditions are, its fixed at 40. Good thing is that, even if I ride at 90kmph, it doesnt drop further.

      Tip overs
Only a very minor one. No commentable injury. *touchwood*

Bike best for - highway cruising
Bike worst for - off roading
Cornering - neither great, nor bad
Top speed done - 100kmph (more of a cruiser guy)
Max kms done in a day - 233

Wish my ride a happy 10K day..
40km/l - I've heard this mileage figure from many Hunk owners. But many people are there who get more(But I get less than that only )

Wish you happy n safe ride always...

Engine heating is a reality and the heat should be dissipated by the fins but if you feel too much heat is coming .Check your lube oil quality and quantity,if it is too dark and dense changing will produce results.
Too lean mixture is detrimental to engine life
Check also the condition of your air filter.Paper filters are notorious for getting clogged ,fine particles will go inside and block the air holes still outside it may not be seen and blowing air can not remove these fine particles but they go deeper and get embedded.,so try changing and it is not very costly.

Tic .tic sound may be because of less lube oil spread to all places. Change lube oil and see.(spurious and duplicate oil is every where these days.)
"work for cause n not for applause". "live life 2 express n not 2 impress" ."dont strive to make ur presences noticed, just make ur absence felt".

My cbz-xtreme brakes have become so dull.stopping distance has increased almost twice. actualy one day while adjusting the RVM,that brake lever nut got loose and it was opened by itself. may be some air got into it or whatever.

i have to almost release my clutch for my cbz to start moving,
so yesterday i adjusted it to the minimum release position. ie if i start releasing the clutch it will start moving, with out going for a check ride,i thought it will be hard to shift so
i set it to the middle and went to college , rode 110kms

but the riding experience was really bad. the engine sound changed, super heavy vibration, feels like there is a 6th gear, milage drpped to 48~50

                  whats the perfect clutch position?

its 2800 on odo can i change to a better engine oil.
I reset the clutch to the normal position, every problem disappeared, no unwanted vibs
                  OOh i love my byke

my current oil is ~900km old, HH oem oil. (2900 on odo)
i wish to change the oil on 3000. can i go for a better oil?
can any one recommend me a good oil?

                  • 3 years of ownership

Hard to believe that it has been 3years since I bought my hunk I bought the hunk just for its refinement and comfort but the bike exceeded my expectations. Handling is really good considering the wight of the bike and the acceleration was not as bad as people say ,especially 3rd and 4th gear acceleration is really good.
Haven't faced any major issues with it till now(It has just 10k on the odo)
had to change sprockets and disk pad after 9k km.spares are not cheap but it doesn't matter since the bike is very reliable.
                    Topspeed reached:around 110km/hr.
                    Max Mileage:45
Minimum Mileage:34 (last week's short ride)
34 might sound too low But it was actually pretty good considering that I had a heavy pillion, frequent acceleration, hard braking and off roading.

So you back to riding pleasure !

Reg. oil, I've heard and seen people here saying that GULF/Motul 20W40 as a good oil. But most of them recommend HH stock oil in the initial few 1000Kms.
I am using HH 10W30 oil only for my Hunk, done only 300kms after oil change, but the gear changes have become hard. But I used to use the HH stock oil in my Splendor most often, but the bike was going good with that oil.

I think you can switch to one of the above mentioned oils(20W40), but better wait n see the response of the experts here.

                        Hi Giridhar,

Mine is a 2008 Hunk with 21k on the odo.
How does your rear shock-absorbers funtion after 10k? Do they still offer you the same comfort as new?
Coz, mine is bit stiff now and the shock absorbers don't "absorb shocks" anymore

It still performs as good as new even after abusing it almost everyday(roads near my college are the worst I have seen yet). But I do get some weird squeaking noise its annoying at times But its not a big deal

I'm no expert ,bt normallay what SVC guys do,they just topup the mobil.they dont seem tochange the whole oil. Thats why most of us feel it useless "LIKE WATER" after 300-400 kms or so. If u r paying 200 bucks to them for an SUPPOSED TO BE OIL CHANGE,why not change it outside with same or different brand. BUt make sure u buy geniuine one because market is full of fake mobils.
