Long ride after a long time...
Hi,
I am riding a HHH 2011, I am planning to take her on a long drive around 300km in a day what could be the precaution i will hv take her on the long drive, as bike is standing from almost last 25 days i hv not moved it a inch, completed 13k without any hassle on it completed 8th service almost 400 km back, air filter and spark plug is new as they changed it on 11000km, done the engine flash also on 12000km also by hh, i will be caring a extra spark plug and tubeless Tyre puncture kit with me, is there any thing i will have to do it on before i go on???

Late engaging of starter motor
Hi friends, just want to know whether any body else is facing a problem that I am getting on my bike nearly 10,000kms run . when I press the start button, some times it takes some time for starter motor to start, some times two or three times a tic --tic sound of some relay making contact comes and then it starts. Some times nothing happens and move the bike a little then it starts normally..these days I ride very less,hardly 5 km / day so I suspect weak battery also."work for cause n not for applause". "live life 2 express n not 2 impress" ."dont strive to make ur presences noticed, just make ur absence felt".

Usually rather than rich or lean mixture, its always good to have the right mixture, you'll get right power and mileage, also good for engine.
Don't get too worried about power now, as your bike is new, let the run-in period be over and cross some 1000 kms on odo.
Most of the FM's here have told that their engines started performing better, smoother after some 5k on odo.
If your clutch play is more, get it adjusted, as it'll make the gear shifts hard, affecting mileage.

Same happens to me sir, it makes sound click-click so may times. And i have to keep it pressed for 4-5 seconds and then it starts. that is why we need kick starter,however you can try to roll start the bike.If it start easily then there is no problem in spark-plug.In case of TCI ignition bike will not start easily even with kick start if battery is weak.so,
1 try changing the plug
2 check the battery voltage with and without starting the bike or the simplest solution is take the bike to two different services center and ask them to check the problem and get it rectified outside.2030 " we used to ride petrol motorbike and you can not even afford one drop of it"

i'm facing a problem. i cant accelerate as before and there is a drag in my bike at high speeds. cant overtake vehivles easily even at 45-50 kmph. Bike wont pick up it speed as quickly as it did earlier. it seems that engine is overloading. Its even worse in pillion rider. Its so noisy @ 40-50 kmph.I suspect my sparkplug for it. how can i clean it or in case i need to change it, what specs should i look for in new one.sigpic

2)you may change spark plug if it is over 10,000 km or it is better to clean it(take it out and rub with emery paper and adj the gap .REF.your ower's manual for specs.
3) In my humble opinion your problem may be with air fuel ratio(tuning) or clogged(dirty) air filter So first change the air filter and see . Also check your chain for too loose, if this does not help contact a good mechanic and check for valve clearance and the like."work for cause n not for applause". same problem

And somebody guide me how to adjust the clutch free play. Clutch lever has developed both free play and up-down rocking. Feels so loose.

Reached the first milestone - 10K on the odo

I'm more or less satisfied with my choice. At the end of the day, it never fails to put a smile on my face.
I love the smoothness, the handling, the comfort, the looks..
but I hate the brakes, the headlight, the loose tappets, the mileage..
Maintanance
Only periodic service, all done on time. Oil changed every 2k kms.
Parts changed - Break pads
Current state
Loose tappet, spongy brake, air leak in rear tyre.
Mileage
Used to give 48-52 till 3k kms. Then dropped to 40 exact. Its quite amazing infact. No matter what the ride/riding/road conditions are, its fixed at 40. Good thing is that, even if I ride at 90kmph, it doesnt drop further.
Tip overs
Only a very minor one. No commentable injury. *touchwood*
Bike best for - highway cruising
Bike worst for - off roading
Cornering - neither great, nor bad
Top speed done - 100kmph (more of a cruiser guy)
Max kms done in a day - 233
Wish my ride a happy 10K day..

Usually issue with clutch/clutch setting will lead to increased vibs, engine overloading, noise, reduced power...
or you played with carb air/fuel mixture and set to lean mixture?
Also check the spark plug as you told, if its not checked for long time. You can check in your manual on how to clean it.

i have to almost release my clutch for my cbz to start moving,
so yesterday i adjusted it to the minimum release position. ie if i start releasing the clutch it will start moving, with out going for a check ride,i thought it will be hard to shift so
i set it to the middle and went to college , rode 110kms
but the riding experience was really bad. the engine sound changed, super heavy vibration, feels like there is a 6th gear, milage drpped to 48~50
whats the perfect clutch position?
its 2800 on odo can i change to a better engine oil.
