In ZMA they say there's 2L reserve capacity, but in reality barely 1.5L is useable. Same maybe the case with your bikes.

I also seriously had the thought, why HH is not at all bothering about reducing the weight of their bikes, while the competition is trying hard on that. See the beefy silencer of the Hunk and compare it to that on the small Fibre covered one on the FZ.
And when they introduced the new Xtreme, its still lot heavier.
Lol, Thats cause unlike competition, HMC does'nt need to make their bikes lighter, faster or better looking for them to sell.

Now seriously, you'll all have to agree, THAT'S QUALITY.

2.2L is the usable reserve as per Hunk manual. But its true that for most of the bikes the "actual usable reserve" will be lesser than specified. I had some bad experiences by running in reserve thinking there's still kms to run as per the reserve capacity(on my NV Spl and Splendor).

And Yes, good experience (with regards to quality as well) I had with my Splendor for nearly 8 years guided me to buy my Hunk. But having a watch of the bottom of my left swing-arm frightened me. Here goes the pic !!!

All Xtreme/Hunk guys, do check your swing-arms if your bike is an year or more older...

                    • There is a lot of misconception regarding extreme and most of the owners feel that extreme is not good. And regarding weight extreme is biggest in size than all 150 bikes so it adds upto its weight. Following are the true top speeds of various 150 collected from various auto magazines and tested by v-box,
                      Yamaha R15 - 134 kph
                      Yamaha FZ/FAZER- 110 kph
                      Suzuki GS150r - 115 kph
                      pulsar 150- 115kph
                      apache 160- 118 kph
                      unicorn/ dazzeler- 114/118
                      cbz extreme - 114 kph
                      hunk- 111 kph.
Yes extreme has 1.5 lts as usable reserve. And those facing problem please get your bikes attained by good mechanic as service center are useless.
Regarding stunner feeling faster than extreme its because it is geared shorter and is tuned to be ridden for city as a result it makes its maximum torque at lower rpm than extreme. And its first two gears are quite short as a result it gives great initial. Couple it with lighter weight of 128 kg it feels faster but in reality it is different. In extreme shift in such a way that it doesn't fall below 6500 rpm as it makes its maximum torque at that rpm.
Regarding rusting of swing arm complain to hero motors and replace it.
I own a extreme and i have bought it in September 2011 but my busy work schedules do not allow me to write ownership review.
From my personal experience with 6 hero hondas and 10 years hero honda engines are having very tight tolerances most require 8k - 10k for the engine to fully open up.
And taking the bike to highway one day to test top speed doesn't reveal real top speed. You have to regularly use highway so that engine opens up for higher speed. I have two bikes a Joy and extreme both see highway for at least two times in a week as my work demands 4 days of highway travel of 150 kms a day i haven't taken my extreme more than 80 kph but i have taken my joy to a speedo indicated 110 kph with gps reading 96 kph. Now see that my Joy which is a 100 cc touches 110 on speedo and i am dumbfound by this performance and also my mechanic is dumbfound.
This is all because after 3 lacs km it is still perfectly maintained as the day it came from showroom and also my mechanic is also excellent. The same mechanic services my friends extreme and it has run for 1 lacs km without any trouble. I have tested the top speed of my friends extreme and it stuck at 120 on speedo and immediately i crouched and the bike touched 130 on speedo. The gps read 118 kph.

                      Even extreme is short geared;-
                      Old unicorn- 15/42- 2.8
                      new unicorn/dazzler- 15/43- 2.86
                      extreme/ hunk- 14/43 - 3.08
These are the final ratios of the bikes and you can see that extreme is short geared. We have used 15t sprocket on my friends extreme and planning to do same on my extreme after 4th service.

Remove the fuel tap and clean it. If the filter element is clogged then either replace it or try cleaning it.

But I doubt reaching HH would be of any use as the bike is almost 4 years old and I am the second owner of it.
