  • @itssaurabh.neg- In the new extreme the indicator relay is near the headlight. So you have to open the headlight. Take it to a garage and install it.
@sarbanoxley- Blocks in both the manufacturer are supplied by same supplier. So both the blocks have their quality improved. But go for hero block and not unicorn as it is difficult to get and they don't sell outside and you cannot give them for servicing as they service only Honda bikes. And also the piston top is different in extreme as it aid in tumble flow of mixture and has higher compression than unicorn piston. Achiever and unicorn has same piston.
Go for new extreme bore kit as they have provision for swirling of mixture and thus your performance will improve. Even in this condition if you are getting 55 kpl then after bore kit replacement it will get even better and remember to do 1000 km run-in more carefully in case of replacement bore. Also check that connecting is making noise or not and don't ride much in low compression otherwise it will cause play in con - rod.
Chennai xbhpians please help him in getting a good mechanic where he can sit and do the work done. It will not take more than a couple of hours.

    • oil seep from engine head

      hi guys,
      i have a '11 CBZ X.
i'm facing oil seep from engine head from time i purchased my bike.
i told the svc guys about the problem each time i took my ride for service.
those nutjobs change the gasket & return the bike, which starts oil leak again within 1 week.
i even told the svc guys that the oil is going below minimum level. those a**holes are telling to bring the bike to svc & they would refill oil free of cost with their piss HH 10w30 oil.
yesterday i gave my bike for 4th free service (& again told about the problem) & today when i went for pickup, they said that they are out of gaskets & told me return after 2 weeks.
      i've escalated the problem today.
      any idea why this happens?

      oils used:
      1st & 2nd Service: HH 10w30
      3rd Service: Gulf Pride 4T 20w40
      4th Service: Castrol Activ 4T SS 20w40

      please help

Exactly from which region does the oil seep??? If its from the tappet cover bolts then replace them and also do the same regarding the O rings.

              • Near the battery there is starter relay and the aluminum heat sink is rectifier.
The indicator relay is inside the headlight housing.

It has only two pins like this.Connect the wires to each pins of the relay.

                        • aneesh has shown the indicator relay in karizma but in extreme it is inside the headlight towards the left side below the meter.

And yeah the SVC you cant even go and see what the hell they are doing with your ride- so no way of knowing if they are doing a shoddy work - its risky - i dont know any good mechanics in chennai either -anyone know any good fellow who can do a good job in chennai .
                            Just a suggestion.
why don't you go for Joel's big bore kit instead of stock?
First think you are special then work towards proving it.

                            • Touched 100 Kmph (first 3 gears @ 4K,4th,5th @ 8K)on my xtreme today, throttle couldnt go beyond 8K,dont know why . After that strange rattling sound appeared near engiine >4K. i got worried and headed straight to SVC for few other repair works. They checked and confirmed its Loose Leg guard . Finally some relief, i thought something went wrong with the engine and i shouldn't have been that harsh with my ride but most of us do such speeding once in a while.isnt it .
Aside this i noticed a mismatch in that alignment rod on Swing arm, SVC guy told me k its related to chain,is it ?? and how could it affect my ride/tyre ?? My brakes are almost dead , rear and even front too. i dont cross 50 because of this stopping distance is more than expected normally.. Lets hope they adjust it.

Yes, decarbonize means removing carbon. AFAIK opening the engine head only is needed for de-carbonize, as it needs access to valves and piston only.

Though I am staying in Chennai for the past 3 years, now only I bought a bike here, hence couldn't find a good mechanic yet. I have given my bike (Hunk) for service(Gold service) to Castrol Bike Zone , Valluvar kottam once. I think the same place you would also have visited before
