  • I seriously dont understand why this bike is 80k on road...with pick up gone down thanks to weight..and engine making sounds after 30+ kms mileage is good 55 kmpl but i doubt that now whether it is really giving 55 cause i filled in 2.5 ltrs of petrol after petrol is completely over in the bike and just after 1 km the bike is back in reserve... and the manual shows the reserve capacity is 1.5 ltrs where the hell did the other 1 ltr go????? 1 km per ltr? what the hell? the apaches, pulsars are less priced even though they have more bhp than this bike even the hunk is less priced 76 on road dds. with same specifications as this one

      where are you from?here in kolkata it sells at 71,000[single disc],74,000[double disc],hunk sells at 69k+.i heard from some cbz owner that they are facing low mileage.if you doubt about mileage give it for a mileage test.well apaches and pulsars are different breed,no offence to hero owners[even i own a passion] but how long they are gonna sell their bikes portraying the reliability of honda engine, people now in india want a perfect blend of performance, mileage and low price tag, bajaj and tvs seem to excel in this department.

          My top whack is 130Kmph(Just before the engine shut down) and the mobile GPS unit on my pillions phone showed 128.xKmph, so I guess, there's no point in recalibrating my speedo.

          No chance, guess its like the RTR180, which has a top whack of 130Kmph, but no one actually takes it there due to its vibes and all and hence everyone under estimates the bike.

          HMC's for people who believe that quality matters, for the rest there're Bajaj,TVS etc. Which are indeed priced cheaper.

                • The vibes of the bike depends on the rider. A person who shifts just a K below redline will have a bike with no vibes at all. I have a friend who owns a RTR180 ABS and above 60 the bike vibes like hell, cause his usual commuting speed is between 45~55Kmph.

                      Every engines got resonance frequencies and they keep varying.

                      When am riding to and fro to college, the vibes are'nt noticed, cause I shift a K below redline, where as after my vacations when I take my bike to college it vibes like hell above 4.5K RPM cause during the vacations its ridden in the city with a max possible RPM of 4.5~5K.

                          You sure your bike's reserve capacity is 1.5L, coz for Hunk it's 2.2L. Or, is the Petrol bunk the culprit?

                          I also seriously had the thought, why HH is not at all bothering about reducing the weight of their bikes, while the competition is trying hard on that. See the beefy silencer of the Hunk and compare it to that on the small Fibre covered one on the FZ.
                          And when they introduced the new Xtreme, its still lot heavier.

                            It would greatly reduce the weight of the ride as 30% of other parts are of Fibre. Engine casing can be experimented with, say AL Alloy or something like that .

                              rode 10km on reserve, reached bunk
                              filled it with 11.78 liters

                              it touches the neck of the tank, now its very heavy.

                              After second service, i found the speed on each gear is slightly changed,
                              @4k, i can go abt 46kmph on 4th gear
                              before service, it was 40
                              also on 3rd gear at 4k, it goes 39kmph

                              now vib is slightly low
