      Changed the valves today - cost me Rs 853 including the labor charge - had to take the bike all the way to vellore to get it done a good 100 Kms from ma house - kept the bike below 5K RPM - it returned 58KM/L on the way to SC on the highway even with that ****ed up valve .

      The old intake valve was covered with carbon(it was black and solid i think its carbon) - i couldnt even scrap it off it felt like it has turned into a stone or something it was that hard - the exhaust valve was clean no deposit on it .

      Now even after the valve replacement the kicker pressure has not returned to normal - i mean it feels very very easy to kick - felt same as before - when i informed the head mech the same he told me the piston ring is "weak" and needs to be changed - he told me to come back after 6000 Kms or when i see smoke coming out of the silencer - till then he says its "safe" to ride the bike with the low compression and nothing will happen to the engine - is this true guys

      On the return journey the bike returned 53-54Km/L .

      He also said the bore is fine - i cant trust this guy - so experts please tell me what should be ma next move ?.Thank you.

            • peculiar problem

              my cbzx tends to stall and hick up when reved hard above 8000rpm in 1st and 2nd gear...the bike stalls first and then picks up and again stalls...this problem is not felt in 3 and 4th gear...the top end speed is 120..i'm experincing this problems only from last week..bike has done 29000kms..last week only i gave it to hh service and changed the engine oil...and also when the sudden increase in speed say from 50 to 90 in fifth gear..the bike stalls...

              • @ Abhishek : u can connect to 2 LED strips in parallel and connect them with the parking light socket inside the Right (Brake)Side panel. Open the plastice cove and connect two wires on rightmost UP and down socket.that should make it parking light controllable. U can then do some R&D and make them glow with brake light as well. Hope u do it right and come out with an awesome light work. Need help , m here only

                  Just got my XBHP login activated and this is my first post. I was watching this thread for sometime since I bought a HH Hunk 1 month back(used - 3 years old ) . Slowly started loving my bike, I have almost fixed the minor issues it had when I bought it.
                  I am currently living in Chennai and've been riding a Splendor (trusted, reliable n cool) for the past 8 years which is in my native(Kerala).

                  Really happy to see the healthy discussions going on here and issue-reports, resolutions, suggestions etc.

                  Hope will be able to get more info from this forum and express my views as well.

                      Might be a clogged airfilter,Check airfilter,also check the color of oil,svc might top it up instead of an oil change.

                      • my cbz was taking rest for 2.5 days, today noon i checked the engine oil level,
                        it just touches the min level

                        the procedure was

                        moved it to a concrete surface, put on center stand

                        started engine, run on idle for abt a minute or less,
                        rised to 5000rpm , switched off,
                        checked the level.

                        then i hurried to varkala, after searching ~5 shops, i bought the hh 4t plus, 900ml
                        drain bolt n washer is not available in varkala shops
                        rode abt 15km for shopping oil.

                        returned home, let it cool for abt 1hr.

                        then with out starting the engine, i checked the level once more before oil change.
                        now its above the middle.

                        so i decided to change oil tomorrow after buying a drain bolt n washer

                          if any one have the video or images of chainging oil please post it.

                            To shed some light on ur doubt, thats ZMA not old cbz.

                            It doesnt requires anything other than a spanner and a plastic can (if u dnt wanna spoil the floor ). Drain bolt is located below engine. Slowly remove the bolt and let all the oil drain out.Shake it little bit so oil from inside parts gets out too.
                            Now tight the bolt as it was. DONT OVERTIGHT IT

                            Open the oil filler cap and pour the oil into it.

                              what is the correct procedure for oil check?
                              check after runnig the engine or check at morning after a night rest?


                              today i went to diya svc kollam to get my leaking rear shock replaced. they insist me to get second service. i agreed, they charged me 250 for a service with oil top up. i asked to change oil than topuping, now charge is 350.

                              Yesterday i bought HH 4t plus 900 ml for just 210 (215mrp)
                              then why r they charging 350?

                              • Rode my friends FZ today though it has less bhp than the xtreme found its pick up to be slightly better than my xtreme
