Hi,
I was facing cranky sounds from the suspensions when I bought the bike, but after first servicing it went. And about the vibration issue the service centre messed up my bike. There were two sounds coming. One from the front tyre after every rotation and other form the petrol tank. The service centre fixed it. Now my bike has become super smooth, just like unicorn. Even the gear problem (from N to 1st) has been solved.CBZ Xtreme 11.11.11

350 km one day ride update..
350 km in a day wasn't a joke for my a ** though.
Got a decent mileage of 50km with cruising speed varying between 60 to 80 kmph. But the things which hurted me the most were engine harshness and handle wobbling. This handle wobbling literally spoiled the joy of riding on those beautiful road
Had been to svc twice with this problem.don't know what they have done but nothing seems to be working.Tyre pressure, front alloy wheel, fork everything is fine..front tyre could be the culprit? 90/90 tyre at front will make a differance ? Any suggestions guys?? This handle wobbling which increases in case of pillion rider is really bothers me a lot and sometimes even makes me to regret my purchase..........Last edited by Arjun_shetty; 01-28-2012, 01:15 AM.diE anOthEr DaY;RidE toDaY

The vibes are common and they're called resonance frequencies.Originally posted by felix1072 View PostHi, i have the CBZ 2011 model and i have the below issues.
1) After 2 services, i still feel vibs at both handlebar and footpegs as soon as i cross 3.5k rpm on the odo. I spoke about this to svc during second service and the vibs were low for a couple of days after the service but again, they have come back now.
Please dont use foam grips, they can be fatal while riding in the rain.Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View Posti'm feeling vibes from 2k onwards
,feeling it on my wrists even after using foam grip.
Wow, 128Kmph, If the speedo's accurate then I guess that Dazzler can ALMOST smoke a stock ZMA.Originally posted by anush View Post
Heres a temporary remedy. Switch back to the stock 10W30 oil and ride the bike hard and then the vibes will go away and the bike's acceleration will also improve, BUT, thats only temporary, everything will be back to normal when you stop riding hard.Originally posted by felix1072 View Post
I guess there is nothing svc guys can do about this then...
Another shortcut would be to use higher viscosity oil like the 20w40, but after say 1.5~2k the oil becomes completely run in and then the vibes would return.
So in short the best thing to do is, try learning to live with it.

Dont feel regretted on ur purchase, nothing can be done once u buy something, the thing is to point out the exact problem. as with me i was not feeling good bcoz of low spm stalling, got it checked many times and almost after 2 months problem is solved now and i'm back on businessOriginally posted by Arjun_shetty View Post350 km in a day wasn't a joke for my a ** though.

Great,good to know that..
But the things which hurted me the most were engine harshness and handle wobbling.
Engine harshness is somewhat expected, but not the Wobbling. Put ur bike on central stand and try running ur bike in gear and see from behind that is there any sign of wobbling. Check with the front wheel as well, most probably its gonna b rear one.if yes get it aligned at svc.
.... and sometimes even makes me to regret my purchase..........
. so just try to figure it out. For engine harshness use 20W40 and check for any loose bolts(hardly). wobbling can further increase ur vibes if i'm not wrong..

i bought a cbz extreme in September 2011 but due to busy schedule cannot post the ownership experience. my only regret of buying extreme was there was no big bore for extreme by Joel but this news has made me happy but we have to confirm from the man himself if it is true as the engine has a lot of potential but the shorter gearing has spoiled the performance.
i will post the ownership experience shortly and i am more than happy to help other owners if any technical problem arises.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. after long or bumpy ride i can see oil spills near the righ shock, not the chain side. its from shock i think. is it usual? right shock is neat n clean.
now it 1.3k on odo, during mornig rides abt first 10~15km of usual 40km to college, i feel the engine is hard even in 45~55. but if i shoot it to 70+, then no problem even in 45.
or may be the engine is hard while its cold and smooth after its hot.

Oil spill on a new bike is not common. If it occurred only once don't worry but if the problem repeats sort it out.
Your still in run in period so don't be aggressive and don't try high speeds.Your problem seems to be engine oil circulation.Did you change the engine oil?
Even after 10kms you can't have a cold engine unless you are doing 20kmph.Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

3) Everytime after i have had a pillion rider, the rear split seat makes noise, which gets fixed if i remove and fit it again, during which the rear seat is stuck and really hard to remove.
Any idea on these issues guys???
heyn felix.
i've done 3 services and i still feel teh vibrations. and about the rear seat and the clinging sound,as far as i have noticed, the rear split seat is usually very loose and it makes the clinging sound.
And guys, unfortunately, i encountered a very nasty pothole and since then, i feel like the handle bar n front wheels are very shaky when riding, and its very noticeable in small bumps.
the svc guys said the fork is loose and tightened it. but i'm still facing the problems. any idea what might be wrong?

its normal for our ride, get used to it
Any idea on these issues guys???Check for any loose bolt of front bumper/number plate, or if possible give your friend a test ride, let him confirm the same . . .Originally posted by edlv View Postheyn felix.

i usually keep 55~60 on highways. goes above 60 rarely and wont last long.
i done first service on 500 km. in first service they will change the oil, right?
any way i am going to change the oil this week.
does shock have stored oil in it?

I didn't mean 70 is aggressive but the ride style like sudden acceleration and those.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Postgoing 70 is agressive?

yes they change the oil.Observe the sound of engine @idle first.Oil may not be the primary culprit here.Oil circulation pump and filter do play major part.Considering new bike changing oil is better. How is the gear shift BTW?
A actual shock absorber(or dampener) is nothing but oil and a piston(with holes in it). Springs are there to restore the position and hold the piston at fixed location.Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

now my baby has no vibration sound while crossing 55kmph. touched 70kmph with out any vibration. I tuned for milage but i got comfort instead of mileage. now getting milage of 40-44kmpl.
I lost one of the bolt from the bottom part of the head light. i think i ride in bubpy road last few days due to that the nut became loose and lost it. hmmmm
@saurav are you still getting the 50kmpl+ milage?sigpic
