me too faced same problem a while back when i went offroading for some 50 kms on a wet day..and man it was hell. Nearly fell down thrice due to the slippery back. I doubt there's something wrong with our bike because I never had that kind of situation with my previous bike. Maybe the tire's fault. But even the gs150 had the same tyre but never felt such slippery at the same spots where cbz skidded like on snow!Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View PostHi guys, anyone of new cbz-x user facing slippery rear tyre ?? i almost fall number of times in my ride ,be it wet or muddy road. i m planning to change it,any suggestion. i love the ones in new impuse but those are tubed. can i get those grippy tyres in tubeless as well ??Yamaha R15 V1 2011

IMO the tyres are behind all this.u can slip even at 15kmph if ur rear tyre find soething slippery and by chance if u got slipped in corners u r goneOriginally posted by segagt_0 View Postme too faced same problem a while back when i went offroading for some 50 kms on a wet day..and man it was hell. Clean the drain bolt area with kerosene or diesel, check it once more,If its still leaking from the drain bolt, then the drain bolt O-Ring needs a replacement and it will cost you less than 10rs.Originally posted by Kalli12 View Postnot beneath the silencer exactly under engine....from where engine oil is removed and its like 2 drops or something per day

@ Aneesh : How to check whether Mobil is to change? either by its color(dark brown/black) or its viscosity(non sticky/oil type/Not CHIPCHIP
)??

any change in Sound/vibrations ?? would suggest u to use rubber handle grip (in case u not using themOriginally posted by ATHUL4R View PostChanged oil. Gulf pride plus 20w40. cost me 250rs for 1L.
). Such a difference it makes on ur mind.Lesser vibrations are felt on ur wrist as compared to stock handle grip

Change in color indication of accumulation of combustion residue while change in viscosity is due to deterioration of the oil's property....Both indicate deterioration of oil quality, and requires change of oil.Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View Post@ Aneesh : How to check whether Mobil is to change? either by its color(dark brown/black) or its viscosity(non sticky/oil type/Not CHIPCHIP

Thanks sirOriginally posted by psr View PostChange in color indication of accumulation of combustion residue while change in viscosity is due to deterioration of the oil's property....Both indicate deterioration of oil quality, and requires change of oil.
, recently had my 3rd free service.Told them to change the oil,but it seems they just topped it. Today i checked my oil and found it to be dark brownish and it appeared like hair-oil (i mean very less viscous). though its 10W30 but IMO such a viscosity is not expected from it. isn't it ? will change my oil today if possible
and i heared some mechanic talking about engine cleaning frm diesel.sounds odd but is it normal or he is using his own practical ??

hey guys.. planning to sell my cbz xtreme after doing just 4300 kms on it. M really getting irritated by the characteristics of the engine after riding for some 50+ kms. I ride my bike for around 100kms everyday so after heating up the engine i dont feel like driving the bike. Have tried all the alternatives like tuned carb, used 20w40 engine oil, and used 20w50 too once hoping if it could cool the engine but it worsened the matter further..drained after using for 1000kms. In the morning the bike idles at 1200 rpm, the bike feels really smooth and the pick up feels just awesome.. but after riding for around 40 kms it starts getting harsh and all the fun goes away. If only it had a liquid cooling, the matters would have been a lot better. But sadly, due to the absense of it, dont wanna own this bike. But please dont misunderstand me in anyway, i wouldn't recommend anyone for not buying this bike because this bike is excellent in all other ways. I'm getting a mileage of 50+ on mixed riding conditions and the ride quality is perfect. Its just that it didnt suit me somehow.. If anyone have some suggestions for me, then please feel free to help me.Yamaha R15 V1 2011

You can try using Gulf pride 4 T 20W40 or Motul 3000 4T 20w40 or HONDA 20w40 oil. 10w30 wears out quickly due to heat and use, much more quickly than 20w40.Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View PostThanks sir

Using Diesel, Kerosene etc., to clean up engine had been in use for some time...the problem is that some amount of the diesel/kerosene will be left behind after flushing which will cause harm to engine parts....I have a 2 stroke KB 100 done more than 1,30,000 Kms and not once I had used this method, and every time I strip the engine, I see the engine innards to be very clean..of course I do change oil in time with good quality engine oil.
So in my opinion diesel.kerosene cleaning is not warranted on a properly maintained engine. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
