Hi.. been away from here for a while..
Bike is all fine and smooth. Crossed 7K.

Just now, I installed Windtone horns. (Dual).
But since I cudnt source a good horn relay, I connected it directly to the stock horn socket.
Is there anything wrong with this..? I mean, its working fine.
Should I get a relay and rewire it..?

Hi guys,

I have some queries.

1) My Hunk has completed 8500kms and could feel the bite of the front discs decreasing. Also i could hear a squeaking sound when i apply my front disc brakes. I Went to a local mech regarding this problem. He told the brake pads is almost entering its death stage. I asked him to clean the pads thinking dust might be the reason for the squeaking sound. He replied saying it occurs even when pads are getting worn out. But he cleaned the pads just for my satisfaction. But still the noise appears. What is the usual life for the disc pads? Contacted SVC regarding the cost. They informed that it will be around 500 bucks

2) Do we have to charge a maintenance free battery?

1) 8,500kms is alright for brake pads to brittle away. The squeaking noise must be because of the pad base surface being in contact with the disc. When the upper layer erodes due to braking the contact with the base layer which is the joint takes place..If you dont replace it soon, there are chances where the disc might be damaged...
8500kms is pretty good if you are heavy braker..

2) Yes, if the inner coils have been damaged. If its in warranty get it replaced for free..

how much does it cost for a windtone?
can i install it myself?
if so how?

Windtone costed me 550 rs a pair. Instillation is pretty simple if u know the basics. I mean, basic electricals. You can download a circuit diagram if you want.

Changed the park lamp bulb to white LED(9LED),looks awesome in night.costed me 150 bucks.

currently in cbz there is only one horn,if i buy dual wind tone, where can i fix one?

i will unplug the old horn, conncect the two wires to the new one . is this enough?

if no, please help me.

This is enough for one horn.If you are using two of them,get a relay,Stock wiring is meant for holding the stock 2.5Ah horn,windtones are 5A,so you need a relay and separate wiring for maximum safety.

hi guys,observed white smoke type of thing coming out of my exhaust today. Not exactly smoke but sort of steam,may be its due to cold weather out here or it can be somethng else

??

Check exhaust drain hole, if its clogged, then un-clog it,
Steam - Cold weather/Water in silencer.
White Smoke - Lean.
Black Smoke - Rich.
Blue Smoke - Normal.

This is a key for diagnosing 2Strokes, but maybe applicable for 4Strokes too, i.e till an extent.

i guess my case is the first one due to cold weather.

i found one small hole (~4 33 dia) in my exhaust pipe under brake pedal,should i get welded it or wat? IMO it wont cause any damage or will it ??

. No dont get it welded, thats the drain hole am talking about.

no no, i m not talking bout that,see attached pic.there is a hole around the welding joint.
