  • A small prob with mine..
Whenever I go through a pothole or a gutter, I hear some kinda large 'bang' sound. Like two heavy objects colliding. Its coming from the front. (probably suspension)
    no other issues noticed.
    Wat could be the prob..?

    • CBZ X : Starter Relay issue (I guess)

Hi All, My Second Day Here & This Is My 2nd Post (No Idea What Happened To The First Post )

I'm a proud owner of a 2007 Dec CBZ X, of which I (tried to) upgraded the 12v/7Ah Amco battery with 12v/9Ah Amaron MF (Beta).

Every other electrical system works fine, but when I press the self starter, the whole circuit crashes like I blew the fuse or something (which I have not). Is it the starter relay ? Everything works fine on the 7 Ah battery, but I'm planning to go for some heavy duty modifications so I modified the battery bay and now I can't use it

Had no such issues with my old rides (CBZ 1999 & Zma) during a battery upgrade.

Should I change the relay to one with higher rating ? Avenger has got 9Ah battery by default, so was thinking of opting something like that. Now if I do, will I damage ANY other part ?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.. Now let me find two empty tic-tac cases to fix that old 7Ah battery in the mod'ed bay

        odo: 4500kms
        Milage: 40-43kmpl (city-highway)
issues: Engine becomes hot (i think its normal till 5000kms is it?

          • Spare part Price

I met with an accident yesterdayand there are severe scratches on my CBZ Xtreme 2011's crash guard and black heat guard on silencer.

there is a small bunch of scrratch on silencer too.

does anyone know the price of crash guard, heat guard and silencer?

Why not u tie a rope on ur Crash Guards, looks cool and protects ur knees as well.
Why not to go and ask your nearest SVC. Their availability is questionable though .

I also feel under-power after 60kmph. so planning to increase oil mixer in curb. I've done 270 km with it..

Both your mechs are talking about 2-Stroke bikes.

This is not entirely correct Aneesh & Saurabh. Whether the AFR adjustment screw varies air or fuel to achieve it's purpose, depends upon the particular carb model . Not on whether the bike is 2-stroke or 4-stroke . In fact many carburetors can be employed equally well on both 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine without modification .
The keihin CV carbs on cbzx and kari uses a fuel screw to adjust the AFR (psr confirmed me on this) while on my splendor(keihin PB) and yamaha-crux(mikuni), both 4strokes, the AFR screw adjusts air volume (i.e they are air screws, anticlockwise turns to lean out the mix) .
Hunk's carby should be same or similar to the cbzx ? Then indeed it would be like that(as Aneesh said) - clockwise turns to lean and anticlockwise to rich .
So , depending upon the bike+carb model they are talking about , those Bajaj's service mechanics may be correct ! ( maybe they were talking about platina etc )
Please confirm my understanding on this often mixed up thing (again!) psr'jee .
Better be very clear about this before screwing with that screw bro . And yes , better to run a bit rich mix than lean .

                        • Got my ride checkd yesterday @ SVC for RPM instability (earlier it used to literally dance ). Now its better than before but still i can see my engine stalling if i put my ride in neutral on a flat road, especially when i stop my bike using brakes. Mechanic said most bikes will act like this only,,coz of that JHATKA(shake) due to gear change from 3rd/2nd to neutral. is it trrue ?? what else can b the reason.overall its better than before but not upto its previous condition.

                          • My new ride

                            Hey guys.
Got myself CBZ Xtreme a week back. My fren's been telling me not to ride with a pillion rider till 500kms as well as cross 50km/hr speed. What do you all think, is he correct? coz i got to drop my mother and pick her up back from office everyday. will that harm my bikes engine?

                            Suggest me.

                            Thanx

yes he is correct as being on safer side its advised to not to stress your engine in initial few KM's of ur engine. You can continue pilion riding but try minimal of it.practice smooth and even gear shift and avoid high speeds (>50) for first 500 Km. u can take it upto 60 ocaasionaly but that too smoothly.
The point is to not to stress ur fresh/new engine much in the beginning.

coz i got to drop my mother and pick her up back from office everyday. will that harm my bikes engine?

Avoid pillion riding except ur mother or any other urgent one.drive in smooth way and not to cross 50 kmph more often. ride safe
