Guess its a battery problem, get your battery checked from the svc asap. if bad ,get it replaced in warranty.

what about top speed??? i saw in other threads that thin tyres give more acceleration at the cost of some top speed. so what about fatter tyres???

Fatter tires will give lot more grip than required which reduces topspeed unless you have done some engine mod to compensate with it. If you want to increase topspeed sprocketing would be a better option.

But if its a battery problem it would happen always, but it works fine sometimes.

I've also checked for loose connection in battery terminals but its all fine, also other electrical (horn, hid) works just fine.

hm..Any corrosion in the battery terminals? Did you tried these after or before starting the bike? I Guess you turned the HID on after starting the bike,if yes , a horn wont need much current for working when compared to a starter motor. push horn in the morning with out starting the bike and see what happens

secondly the issue abt the RPM....i fased the similar kinda issue on the Bajaj Boxer...showed to the mechanic and he changed the Accelaration cable...problem solved....make a note of it...hopes that solves your problem too..!

There is no corrosion on battery terminal, I've also cleaned the terminal with sand paper. I never use HID, but for testing it was working fine. No, my bikes HID is connected to battery, it works without starting the bike.

I will go again to SVC and ask him to check the battery.

Now, 'Idle RPM' simply means the speed at which the engine runs when no load is applied (ie, in neutral and nil throttle). It doesn't specify whether its cold or hot. Ideally, idle RPM should be a consistent 1.4K both in cold and hot condtions. But in practice, it differs. Esp. for new bikes. 1.1 cold and 1.4 hot is pretty good and okay. Only thing is that you will need to choke it on cold mornings. Don't fiddle the setting now by yourelf. Once the engine is all settled down and properly tuned up, it would be fine.

bro....initially my byk screamed when it was put on neutral after travelling for 5 odd kms
rpm went to 3...it was very difficult to idle the byk......hence i adjustd the dle rpm screw myself....
hope dint do the right thing ....now will it harm the perfomance n mileage??

Is your bike tuned for lean mixture(mileage tuning)?
