    Good:
Awesome power at lower RPM's upto 4k rpm..Dont know about higher RPM yet
    Solid build quality
    Good Suspension
    Relaxed Seating position
    Perfect height for me

    Bad:
    Hard gear changes
Brakes were not as effective as expected tat too in a dual disc bike
Missing engine kill switch and kick rod

Overall had a good impression but i found the engine quite hot when i reached home. Is this normal?

When do you suggest for 1st oil change? SVC guy said 500-750Kms / 1 month but i think tats quite long and also can you suggest a good brand for engine oil.
my new cbz took around 500 kms to get the feel of DUAL DISC and 700+ to smooth up the gear's but still not as smooth as it should be till 1100 kms mark.
i changed my engine oil at 150 kms...make sure you changed it too!
    Drive Safe..RIDE HARD!

      • i don't know why you all are saying to change the engine oil at 150 km point. if there is such thing then the company itself would have adviced us to do so. i read my cbz xtreme service book completely and found that oil will be changed at the time of 1st sevice at 500 kms, then i again visited the svc cntr to confirm about it and talked to their head about this as i have cmpleted 160 kms in my cbz he also told me not to worry 1st time oil change is at between 500 - 700 kms. better to change at the time of 500 kms. i am getting mileage of just 45 kms is it ok

        • For a new bike,Engine parts are new and will be high friction and rubbing causes metal parts to get polished and the excess metals will be grinded of from metal parts and will be mixed with engine oil,This frequent oil change will ensure most of the scrapped metal particles get removed along with the oil.
,Thats why we recommend to change oil,Change your bikes engine oil @ 150kms and during oil change, check oil filter, you can see a lot of metal particles get accumulated in the filter.Changing oil doesn't harm your engine,After that if you are using HH OEM oil, change every 1000kms and if you are using other oils like gulf, then change every 2000 or 2500kms.

            • Hi, Are they tubeless tyres in the new cbz xtreme 2011? Does the bike reach 110-120(speedo indicated) without straining the engine too much (if somebody has tested it)?
Love the ride, not the destination

              • Got up early morning to go for a ride in my new bike only to find that air leaked out from the front Tyre. Since it is tubeless i was worried that some serious problem exists.
Took it to a local mechanic, he took out the tyre and re fixed after few adjustments. No problem till now. Will have to check again in morning.
Is this a existing problem of tubeless tyres that initially there will be air leakages? because i have even heard of few of my friends havinf FZ reporting this problem.

                  hii,

I have hunk dual disc and clocked 2400 Kms. The first thing I did within 10 days of buying is that changinf the tyres to tube type. I put dunlop geocruiser with tube. This sounds bad I know but I had the same experience while on tubeless. The tires from company that is mrf zapper Y are worst in rains as well as I used to loose 2 psi every second day. so exchanged and got new one. Now even running 45 Kms in torrential rain, I didn't loose grip. But ya dunlop will last for some 8K kms I know then I will be puuting michellin M45. I don trust the zapper Y in tube type as well as tubeless type. I had hunk previous also and its my experience about thos tyres. See my signature.
Don't research too much while purchasing, else you will commit blunder

Michelin stopped the production of M45,So if anyone needs M45,go and get it asap, you will get the old stock from any dealer.
