riding style : during morning no sudden accleration, try to keep under 4000rpm, 45 for the first 4km, 50~55 till next 10. 55~60 after that, if my trip is to college, will enter the NH only after 14 kms.Originally posted by Ulti Racer View PostI didn't mean 70 is aggressive but the ride style like sudden acceleration and those.
yes they change the oil.Observe the sound of engine @idle first.Oil may not be the primary culprit here.Oil circulation pump and filter do play major part.Considering new bike changing oil is better. How is the gear shift BTW?
A actual shock absorber(or dampener) is nothing but oil and a piston(with holes in it). Springs are there to restore the position and hold the piston at fixed location.
gear shift: first is smooth, second is little tight some times, 3,4,5 are smooth
should i approch a local mechanic or svc for the shock prob? any thing to consider ? should i refill the leaked oil?
i will change oil by this friday or saturday.

New xtreme is having gas shock absorbers...gas is used instead of oil..Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Postriding style : during morning no sudden accleration, try to keep under 4000rpm, 45 for the first 4km, 50~55 till next 10. 55~60 after that, if my trip is to college, will enter the NH only after 14 kms.

Always keep in mind, its a carburetted bike and during the first start let the engine open up on it own and dont force it.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Postnow it 1.3k on odo, during mornig rides abt first 10~15km of usual 40km to college, i feel the engine is hard even in 45~55. but if i shoot it to 70+, then no problem even in 45.
or may be the engine is hard while its cold and smooth after its hot.
Use only optimum throttle i.e the same amount of throttle required to move the bike just after the clutch has been fully dis-engaged. Which normally would by less than 1/4th of total throttle movement. First the bike will move real slowly and slowly open up on its own without any throttle input, and when it opens upto a stable RPM, which in my bike is 2.5~3K, I do a clutch free upshift(Cause if I try upshifting using the clutch, the delay and load will be too much and the engine would sputter/die.) into second and ride for a while, then keep upshifting normally using the clutch till the bike attains a relaxed optimum speed(in my bike its 80Kmph.), all this while using only the optimum throttle position. After like a 10Kms etc I increase throttle as per my needs.Motorcycling Experience:

Sorry, I meant clutchless upshift. And regarding safety.Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View PostWhat,clutch-free gear change ??

Upshift is 100% Safe if you know what you're doing anf 98% Safe if you dont know what you're doing(i.e Increase wear of drive chain).
Downshift, no matter how much of an expert you think you are, its not recommended to downshift without using clutch.Motorcycling Experience:

Give em a call and ask for Mr. Aiyappadas(00919847866888), he's the guy responsible for your bike's suspension replacement. If on inquiry he responds by saying that there's no stock then give him 15 days time, and after that time he should have it, if not then shoot a mail to HMC and they'll see to the rest.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Posti went to a nearby svc regarding the shock leaking prob as i mentioned in my early post, it was a hh authorize one, he said me to go to DIYA at kollam where i purchased my cbz so that thay will replace it on warrenty. i went to diya on his word, thy checked it, said no stock of rear shock, come back after a week.

Edit =>
You can keep on riding like this, and if by chance anymore damage is caused then you can claim that also under warranty.
No need to pay cash, if they ask so, then quietly pay them(no need to make any scene.) and then get a printed receipt, then send a scan copy via mail to HMC after a few days you'll get a call from Mr. Aiyappadas requesting you to come and collect the amount.
In the whole of Kerala, Diya Motors is the only efficient HMC SVC i.e comparatively, so my recommendation would be that, it's be pointless looking elsewhere.Last edited by ashwinprakas; 02-03-2012, 07:54 PM.Motorcycling Experience:

As I was having handle wobbling problem,I decided to go for fatter 90/90 tyre at front.today I searched for 90/90 18 tubeless at JC road bangalore in nearly 15 tyre shops and finally came to know that neither 90/90 18 nor 3.00 18 is available in tubeless.I was very disappointed and headed back to home with wobbling handle...and on the way just went to mrf showroom and told the guy over there to reset the front tyre.He checked and told me that front tyre beading is not seated properly and then he removed the tyre and seated the beading...When I drove the bike after tyre fix...bang on guys..no wobbling..I was really happy..
Left from there and again something flashed on my mind. Why not to reset the rear tyre as well..again went to one more mrf showroom and reset the rear tyre...now bike feels really awesome guys...complete peace of mind...
I would like to thank sourabh who told me not to regret your purchase..no more regrets...
I would like to tell all the wobbling xtreme owners.just get your tyre beading reset...and feel the joy of your steed..diE anOthEr DaY;RidE toDaY
