Welcome bro. I have personally noticed that. If i tune my ride for leaner,top end gets reduced and so is throttle response. can u reach 6-8K RPM in 4th/5th gear ??? AFAIK when i ride @ 4K :
1st gear : 10 KMPH
2nd:20 Kmph
3rd : 30 Kmph
4th:40Kmph
5th: 50 Kmph

to get a speed of 60 u need to upshift @ >4k. does ur throttle get finished at ur top speed??

Guys..my bike's problem has been diagnosed and rectified. It was a piece of plastic (a cover in which I kept the bikes papers) blocking the air intake. The plastic piece was kinda tapping on the intake pipe like 'tap tap tap..' which made the RPM come down rhythmically. Made me suspect the CDI. :P

Even a rich mixture will cause the top speed to decrease and most of the time a rich mixture is the main culprit as a lean mixture which decreases top speed will also cause the bike to jerk or show hiccups. If after 60 the bike doesn't respond to throttle inputs most probably the main jet is blocked and open the carburettor to clean it.

How many out here are unhappy with the stock zapper tyres?

I am experiencing vibs after 55km. similar to the vib of riding at 5k+ on 3rd gear, it tends feel that i am on forth and so i try up shifting,
I filled hp's petrol last 2~3 times, is hp the culprit.
Which petrol outlet is good? i used to fill from bharat petrolium.


Any one here feels the read disk is tooooo poor?
today one of my friends ho is having a tvs suzuki max 100 rode my byke and said the "Superb, nice handling but the rear brake is good for nothing

Update on my situation :

Changed the valves today - cost me Rs 853 including the labor charge - had to take the bike all the way to vellore to get it done a good 100 Kms from ma house - kept the bike below 5K RPM - it returned 58KM/L on the way to SC on the highway even with that ****ed up valve .

The old intake valve was covered with carbon(it was black and solid i think its carbon) - i couldnt even scrap it off it felt like it has turned into a stone or something it was that hard - the exhaust valve was clean no deposit on it .

Now even after the valve replacement the kicker pressure has not returned to normal - i mean it feels very very easy to kick - felt same as before - when i informed the head mech the same he told me the piston ring is "weak" and needs to be changed - he told me to come back after 6000 Kms or when i see smoke coming out of the silencer - till then he says its "safe" to ride the bike with the low compression and nothing will happen to the engine - is this true guys

On the return journey the bike returned 53-54Km/L .

He also said the bore is fine - i cant trust this guy - so experts please tell me what should be ma next move ?.Thank you.

I had faced same problem in front disc brake.It was just like drum brakes.Took it to svc and as expected thier answer was ITS NORMAL,NO PROBLEM IN DISC BRAKE.Forcefully made them to emery the disc pads.Now its fine.You can also get your rear disc pads cleaned with emery paper.
