Was washing it as a part of diwali preparation and as this was my first wash, I saw few things which I don't know about.

can someone help me about these three loose-ended pipes dangling near the exhaust pipe? I touched one and it was wet. Smelled like petrol to me.

Also the red tube lying inside the vehicle (Should be somewhere below the point where seats split.

btw, Those tubes are for removing overflowed fuel and other such waste particles, i think. So no need to worry on that.

hi athul, at least think that we are in kerala and we know very well about our roads na?

In my case, i was getting only 35 to 38 before first service and now improved and got upto 42 in reserve to reserve and 40 in aggregation. So i think its a common problem for us in kerala. . . Our roads here in my place are pathetic. Its rarely i get chance to ride on 4th and its more rarely i use 5th before i travel 15 kms. I'm riding between 3 and 4 k rpms at 40 to 50 kmph and gear shifts are at 3.5 to 4k rpms. Still i think the mileage is not too bad with my road conditions. . .

Anyway after first service I'm opening the throttle some more wider, cant wait so long to have some fun actually... Top speed touched till now is 63kmph @ 5000 rpm.

I've been constantly reading about Reserve-to-Reserve method to check mileage. Since i am new to the biking world, what does this mean? I mean what's the actual procedure for this?

45 in city conditions that too as described by CRANK49 is pretty good i would say. Take her to a highway ride,u will come to know bout more accurate mileage then.

IN RESERVE TO RESERVE METHOD u have to fill the petrol(say 5 Lts ) as soon as u hit RESERVE and start the TRIP METER. ride for few days and when u hit the RESERVE next time check for the total KM's done in trip meter,say u did 230 Km's,dat mean u r getting 230/5 = 46 KMPL

hello guys i have a small query..my bike is cbz x 2011 with dual disks.. My gears are still hard to shift n doesnt give a feeling of a smooth ride. My bike is just 1.1k old. How many more kms will it require to gain that smoothness??

I have the same one with 1.4k and the gear change is still little on the harder side. But, it has improved than before. Most likely will get smooth by 3rd service i believe...

HHH Engine stops suddenly while on road

While riding to office at 60km/h ,engine stops suddenly.On visiting mechanics ,he replace the spark plug with new on but still the engine won't start.He drain the curborator pipe with no luck.He then pour some mobile in the engine through spark plug hole and again put the old spark plug back.The engine start with black and white fume.

My question is ,is that a safe method and what is the reason behind?
Now at high rev there is a strange rattle sound I am getting.Is that any how damage my engine.

I am really worried now.

I felt a hiccup today while driving at 70kmph. This is the second time this is happening. Any idea guys?

I'd suggest you to take your bike to svc rather than local mechanic in this and tell them all these issues...

ya mine has too improved a lot than before but it gets stuck a lot while downshifting.. my bro too has a cbz xtreme 20k old and its got butter smooth gear changing.. the clutch feel is also very smooth unlike our new cbz xtreme.

check for the airfilter inlet ,did u cross 70 ? or it ws just a momentarily hicuu only @ 70 kmph

it will take some time, i guess u havent change engine oil more frequently.when did u change oil last tym??

How much KM's on odo?spark plug cant b faulty at once

Dont let him/anyone else do the same.if something is falty it must be changed. Not such JUGAADS to be tested

That aint a safe method at all IMO,

I am really worried now.

If u can do it urself check for the following points :
1)Check for ur spark plug color (post the pics here )
2)Check ur Airfilter
3)Check for ant bloackage in Air Inlet

it would be better to take it to SVC and let them know about the PROBLEM (Not the Reason ).
dont worry, Honda engines dont get busted so easily

huzur nepal baata ho k ,dherei raamro lagcha yesto herera . Stucking in downshifting is common (if u dont want to feel that stucking decrease the speed slowly and simultaneously change the gears,but if u will downshift the gears at once,itwill stuck )
