The mechanic said there could be a problem with the choke line . He rectified it but did not give a valid explanation about the problem. It was fine after that service.

he would probably have removed the choke line

Color was ok for me, having a little residue after evaporation.

Check your plug color and condition.
Will check that also pretty soon. I think i should go for SVC as soon as i reach my office on Monday.

Might be a petrol issue or dirt in carb or oil supply.... drain the tank.. i hope there is not much in it... and fuel from some other place... get the carb cleaned.... i dont know but if cbz has air filter check it also....

yesterday it didnt start for an hour or so,i was tired of trying again and again, did all possible things,CHOKE ON,IDLE RPM increased.it behaved as if there is no fuel in it.Kept giving ghar-ghar sound on self starts.
One more thing i rode for 150 km's few days back with lot of dust, can that cause a problem for my carb as my airfilter was dirty (which i cleaned somehow ). isnt it supposed to cause some sludge in my carburetor ??
Not much problem from a little loose tappets , other than a minor tik tik noise .
So how did it finally start up ? When you applied choke ?
Also operate the choke a few times and confirm it is not getting stuck somehow . You can apply a blast of wd-40 to the lever etc too .

Yups . And restrict acceleration .

No , not from dusty roads .. I have to ride village kuttcha roads weekly . No problems .

i feel as if something is blocking Air/fuel flow to my engine and finally stalling it if throttle not given.
Yes , adultratred fuel can cause various such problems , depending on exactly what the guy used to adulterate the petrol .
I also feel the same thing .. something is making your AFR too lean to sustain the engine .

dont know how did it all start, choke was not applied at all .

Ok will try it, wats dat WD-40 ?? if choke is the culprit will it stuck or it will be free ??

                  WD-40 fulfills five basic functions:
                  1. CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, grime and grease to clean. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape and excess bonding material.
                  2. DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits.
                  3. PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts.
                  4. LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and tenaciously held to all moving parts.
                  5. PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements.

You can get it from a hardware shop were 100ml bottle is nearly 100rs.

Just ask for WD40. Its a famous thing bro.One more thing called Zorrik88. WD40 is the best i think. You can see both these at svc, they use these at jammed screws, bolts, etc.

If the timing chain is loose you will hear it ...the sound will be like Anklets jingle..and your timing will become different every time you accelerate or decelerate making it hard to drive ...But engine will idle and will not shut down after starting.

I strongly feel that the filter in the petrol tap may be clogged..it is the small nut like structure under the petrol tap. This is actually the bowl which collects the debris in petrol .There is a filter in the underside of the tap, remove and see if it had collected dust blocking free flow of petrol...

Take a look inside the Petrol Tank with a Torch and see if brown colored dust is there at the bottom of tank...if it is you need to clean the tank.
