I just started to use Shell AX7 and i'm quite impressed and i paid 280 the MRP was 300. Just check your airfilter if its clean then there could be some problem with carb tuning.

As far as i read 20w40 for the 150cc bikes and the companies like gulf, motul, castrol, shell are good!

ohh man i am loving it its smooth to ride compared to pulsar. only touched 60km/h. really I like it.
paid 1650rs for accessories its total waste coz it contains tufflon coating, buzzer (indicator tone), handle grip, and a full cover(not in stock)

sad to say the service is not good at my place many customers are saying complaints.
congrats buddy for ur new ride. u will surely enjoy its ride like most of us(infact all of us ). Ya its far smoother than pulsar, and easier to handle as well. No heavy handle like pulsar, its handling is just so smooth,as if u r riding a bycylce . you would cirtainly feel that why young guys are looking for the PULSAR thing so much.may be looks is all they think about. :/
Do care ur bike within ruin in period as mentioned in xbhp, tym to tym oil changes and keep loving ur bike. Also plz change ur DP now .

i have also brought my bike to bengaluru in train.my odo reading is 3000kms.i have mostly rode at around 45-50kmph.
Now here in bengaluru the weather is cool and due to daily rains..my bike not starting at 1st self.i have to try self start for 3-4 times.
my choke got broken in train,so dnt hv a choke too..please suggest a solution for this problem.
Another problem is when i took my bike to speeds more than 60kmph...then after 65kmph no power comes from the engine,i get jerks and had to slow down.
Even i try as much bike is not going above 70kmph.i was feeling as if petrol is not going to the engine. this is just a feeling, may not be exact reason since i do not have good knowledge about bike mechanisms......
anyone could help me in these issues i would be very thankful...and if anyone from bengaluru
could tell me the best HH service station in bengaluru,i will take bike there for check-up..thanks
Your feeling is correct I think .
There is a significant change in altitude from delhi (785ft) to bengaluru(3000ft) as well as the climate (ambient temperature range) . Moreover as you say they knocked off your choke lever during transport ; that too may have unsettled the carburetor in other ways . Take your bike to a HH authorised service and have your carburetor checked & re-tuned . Replace that choke thingy that is broken . What oil do you have in the engine now ? Bengaluru is blessed with a cool climate throughout the year ( my sis lives there ) . You'd do well with motul 3000 4t plus 10w30 .

I think your chain is loose. Best thing is to take it to a mechanic tell him to go for a test ride. They'll find out immediately.

i am currently using the same engine oil which HH people use during service...never tried any other engine oil...i would like to know that i have rode my bike mostly at 45kmph till 3000kms...and never tried high speeds,so will that lead to the engine loosing power permanently since i didnt rode at speeds more than 65kmph till 3000kms??

No harm done..... but your bore may be glazed, and your top end..may be less.....An Internal combustion Engine is a complex thermal machine..So instead of worrying, change your engine oil to JASO MA2 certified 20w40 and start riding the way you want...you had already completed 3,000 Kms and so no set in process is left to observe.
Remember to idle engine for 20 seconds when you start, and ride below 60 for the first 1 Km, thereafter you can ride at medium to higher RPM...As a thumb rule do not exceed 80% of rated speed or RPM for the engine's longevity, and reliability.

You mean the drive chain? If yes:

                    @ Kalli12

Check chain slackness by removing the small rubber cap on the bottom part of chain guard.

Ok , continue to ride on the same oil & change it every 1500kms (for now) . Get that carb looked into and tuned ryt . I think psr'jee didn't notice that you live in bengaluru now .. so he's suggested 20w40 ... ( that's quite well too ), IMO motul/gulf 10w30 is best suited for you there .
Yes your engine may not reach the absolute top speeds possible for this engine type ... since you've ridden it too tamely upto now .. true ; but how much speed do you really need in your day-to-day riding ? It'll comfortable do up to a 100 .. fine .. no problems . I'd be plenty happy with that and never worry about it anymore . Heck I'd be jumping up n down with joy if my new Splendor+ did a 100 ever .

Bro check the chain slackness i mentioned above and revert. Its not a hard task.

Ji ,I did notice that he had shifted from Delhi to Bangalore...A 10w30 is good only in temperatures of 10 C or lower..but Bangalore does not experience that temperature .....and a thinner base oil of 10w30 gives lesser piston ring sealing compared to a base stock of 20w40.In 1 Km ride the engine warms up and here the higher number after W really plays an important role in keeping the engine cooler and properly lubricated .Hence i had expressed that a 20w40 is good for his engine...
Kindly correct me if I am wrong in my perception.
