  • After shifting from motul 300V to gulf 20W 40 and using it for the last 3 oil changes ....i can now say with lot of confidence that this oil is great for the price.I was too lazy and let the last one do around 2000Kms(i change it every 1000Kms) when i drained the oil today and measured it....there was absolutely no wastage....but then i drained it hot .Silky smooth shifts even on the day i drained it....for Rs 190 i cant ask more can i ?

I now hate the 10W 30 grade oils after using this gulf 20W 40.

    • Hero Honda Hunk 5000 kms Ownership Review

Exactly 2 months ago I bought my first bike... HH Hunk... In Bangladesh the CC limit of bike is 150. So legally this is one of the most powerful bike in Bangladesh. I went for hunk because of it's big bike look, smoothness, Hero Honda's reliability and above all it's flawless acceleration. After riding 2000 KMs I was really happy with this bike but there's one thing that made me real sad and that's it's high speed no matter how much I tune up the machine it never crosses 111 km/h with a pile on... When the RTR 160 has a top speed of at least 135 km/h. I've tried everything in my disposal. I have used Mobil 1, Gulf, Kixx, SuperV but I couldn't cross the above mentioned speed. In fifth gear when I accelerate for about one minute the tacho meter would reach 9 where 10 is the highest limit. After these two months I'm satisfied with my bikes performance & reliability while riding under 100 km/h. And so now I understand Hero Honda has built the new hunk specially for commuter class people. Not for young bike lovers like us. This thing have a good kick till it crosses 95 km/h but after that the acceleration is really very much slow. So any of you are speed fan don't buy Hunk but if you are looking for a bike which is old school stylish, reliable & plan to drive under 100 km/h this is just the bike for you.

Nothing in this world is perfect dear friend... If speed is wat u r looking for,why didnt u opt for Pulsar 150 ??? MAY BE then you would be more than happy to have a top speed around 120 ..but in that case u yould have been complaining about engine sound, gear problems bla bla ... i dont think most of us go for that speed quite often. 110 is too much man.. enjoy ur ride, and let people see ur ride.. the HUNK..

                        • Lemme join Club xTreme. . .

Well, finally, the dramatic wait is over.
Planned to go for pulsar 150/180 for some reasons like parents' pressure(because my cousin brother owns a bajaj service center) and was about to get the bike yesterday(15th). Unfortunately (perhaps for my fortune) the bike was not in stock.
I was totally disappointed and was depressed to hear that next load comes after 10 days with pulsars with some added graphics. I cant like that. Then nothing more to think, just decided to follow ma heart.
Headed up to Indo-Jap Agencies, our hero(honda) dealer and booked CBZ xTreme dual disc model. Now some paper works of loan are pending. After that is done, i will get ma beast. Happy to share this. . .

Sarban - I'm having to use the motul 3000 4t plus 20w40 since my trusty oil shop isn't stocking the gulf pride 20w40 since the last few changes I did . It's a very good oil and I love it . But just to get a comparative view - how'd you rate it with the gulf or elf ?
