Anyone tried 3M carb cleaner. Is it safe on rubber parts and carb diaphragm.

Please don't use carb cleaner on any rubber parts, diaphragm.

Before cleaning the carb, take out the rubber parts, O-rings & diaphragm in a separate place.

I think you can clean the rubber parts withVery soft clean cloth.

Please wait for some more suggestions.

I am thinking to clean carb without removing it from bike. For that, is it possible to only remove float chamber and spray some cleaner. Also from air intake side and to engine side, after removing the clamps and spraying some cleaner.
            Is it really beneficial.

Why not try the STP injector/carb cleaner (White bottle) ? You just have to mix some quantity in petrol. I have bought it from Amazon but yet to use it on my bike.

Try ADON P petrol additive available at all Indian Oil Pumps at Rs 9 per 5 ml sachet. Use 5 ml per 5 litre petrol.

Yes, engine revved more freely than before.

                      thanks.
is it observed across all the rpm range or at some particular point?

Across all rpms. It also helps to solve the valves sticking problem which prevails in extreme/hunk engines. Few pages back you can see one person had this problem and he used adon p additive. He instantly felt the change

                        Btw I dont have xtreme/hunk.

Already tried addon P, don't know its carb cleaner or just octane booster. Bike is very Rev happy after using it but you have to use it regularly.
But there is no harm if you get some performance at RS 9 only.

                            Got Addon P, 40/- for 50ML.

Noticeable knocking through out the rev range.

                              Need your help guys...
Last week I was on a 200km trip to my workplace and I could feel the bike struggling a bit though it was gaining speeds.
Also, noticed that bike is not responding to throttle at times for a fraction of a second (as if no petrol in tank or bike going into reserve).
Bike was running fine when I was using the bike for my office commute (means short trips).
Came back to native last Thursday and the problem surfaced again 3-4 times.
Told the issue to mechanic in my native and he immediately pointed to vacuum piston of carb. He opened carb and the vacuum piston(slide) had scratch marks around and looked like its worn out (Bike odo at 45500 kms).
He replaced the vacuum piston and bike had some some other works to be done - like leaking head gasket, throttle cable with broken outer, welding the chain covers, battery water topup etc.
All done and bike was returned and I took a test ride. I could sense the increase in pick up and was happy. But again when I was on my 200km trip yesterday night, the bike started behaving differently!
It hesitates to rev past 4.5k rpm! If we open the throttle it doesn't respond and sometimes suddenly responds after 3-4 seconds! It struggles on inclines and responds as if it has a 50cc engine underneath.
Once we reach 4.5k rpm on top gear and if we keep increasing the throttle slowly, it slowly gains speed and rev to 6.5k rpm though it takes its sweet time.
I reached destination with no other issues than this. Today morning I had to crank the bike 3-4 times for starting, it used to start in the first crank before.
Not sure what is the issue, is it a sticky carb slide issue that we have seen in ZMA threads?
                              Please guide.

sibun, psr sir - please pitch in!

Looks like the diaphragm of slide has not been fitted correctly/it has a hole. Due to which it is unable to create sufficient vacuum in carb which in turn is allowing very less fuel to enter into carb. You need to check if it has been seated properly and slide has close fit with carb body.
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)
