Told the asc mechanic about the problem he said it differs from engine to engine. Pls help. And is it possible to fit a kick start in my bike ?
Motul 5100 15w50 is very thick oil. Not recommended for your use. That's why engine is not revving.
    Use 10w30, 10w40, 15w40 only.

    Stick to 10w30 in winters

Yester night went for a ride with a pillion on NH2. It's 170 kms up and down with a speed of 70-80 kmph. Bike feels much better with the 15w50 motul 5100 than the other 10w30 oils. No roughness at all and gear shifting became more smoother. No burning smell from the engine like before and also no overheating. Pls do let me know if u have any suggestions. And again......... is it possible to fit a kick starter in my bike ??? Regards.

According to me any oils higher than 10w30 will make our bike's engine to rev slower and they will lose the punchy acceleration after 5k rpm. And mileage drop will be there for sure. And for kick start yes you can fix one but it will cost 5k Rs minimum. Someone has already done that on his hunk.
Why do u need a kicker ? I haven't faced any single starting problem on my 2011 xtreme till now..

Because, the Genuine Hero bore kit itself costs around 3.5k rupees and there would be other parts also changed during bore kit change, like timing chain, valves etc.
Also, when you say bearings, what bearings were changed?
Was your clutch discs changed ever? At 58k I believe you should have changed the clutch discs (and springs if needed) as well.
            Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.. You're right, the clutch plates and timing chain were changed a little earlier. This time the bore kit and bearings were changed for 4k. Almost all the time engine parts are new and I also got the handle fork checked. They are all good. Not sure why still the vibes are coming. Any idea.

Maybe the performance and mileage dropped but bike felt much better and smoother than before. And about the kick starter I thought if there any starting problem comes in future so....... . Anyways thanks for your precious advice. Regards

                Short review on Xtreme Sports:
Till now clocked only 200kms, so cant comment on other aspects.

                Pros:
                1. velveti smooth engine. Feels smoother than my ex-hunk
                2. handling and braking is superb
                3. Low end torque is satisfactory even with a pillion on board.

                Cons:
                1. engine sounds like it has a worn out rocker arm
                2. weight is on the higher side
                3. seat height is high

but still it feels like a good upgrade over my hunk. even though the power bump is small but feels its much more.

My sports sounds like every other sports that was available in the showroom. All the engines had loose tappet like sound.

How did you find out that your bike had issues?

My old hunk was a good bike with excellent fuel efficiency but it was messed up by the svc. From that experience i learned a lot.

My new bike had loose tappets sound on the first start itself but i ignored it to have an optimistic feel about the new bike. The next day ride confirmed that the outlet valve is loose.Went to svc, adjusted the outlet valve and came back. Two days later i went again and told the issues to supervisor. This time the outlet valve same as it was set before. Changed rockers and camshaft. But hot engine produced noise again. Did clearance at first service. Now the engine note is crisp.
They tried to shoo me away saying tappet sound is normal in hunk in the beginning.

Dont panic, in my hunk the noise was more than the acceptable level. The issue was with the bearing of shaft

2016 hunks engine sounds different (noisy) compared to 2014 right?
My bike when cold does produce slightly loose tappet like sound but when hot it gets louder, nevertheless engine more refined compared to my 2014 hunk.
                        what is your fuel efficiency?

                        thanks

My chain is at the max setting, mechanic have suggested to change the chain-sprocket set.
Is it necessary to change the sprocket too while changing chain? (my sprocket is still seems to be in good
                          condition)
My bikes current odo reads 49500kms
I have always lubed my chain at 600-700kms interval.

Hero genuine chain comes as a set including two sprockets (front and back). It costs around 750-800 only.
It is always advised to change both chain and sprockets together. You will be good to go for another 30-40k kms!
