Thanks.
Is this a tubed tire or tubeless?
Stock size CEAT ZOOM TT costed me Rs. 2400 including fitting charges. So Sirac's cost is indeed less.

It comes with tube but you can also use it as TL if your rim support that. I was also using MRF Zapper Q as same. The cost i less because Karol Bagh is a very big popular market in Delhi for bike & Cars...

Now the days every tyre is coming with tube and you can use them as TL also if you have compatible RIM

• Hunk - 4.5 years.

Hi All, this is my first post to this bikerfull forum.
I own a HH Hunk. Wonderful 4 & 1/2 years completed with the bike.
My bike has ben going a bit rough now. I just got a service done from my faithful mechanic, but still the roughness prevails.
Its hard to change gears, average has gone down badly (only 35 - 40 kmpl)

Apart from this, the biggest difficluty has been getting hold of new tyres.
I am in search of tubeless MRF Zappers in Mumbai. Checked many delears, but no luck.
All seem to be out of stock for this model.
I am ok for putting in other tyres, but the only condition is, they should be tubeless.

Can some one please help me regarding the above issues.
I plan to retain the bike for atleast couple of years more.

Please let us know kms covered so far.

Few suggestions from my end:
Hope current air filter/spark plug have not done more than 10k kms. If they're older than 10k kms, get them replaced. Clean air filter if not done in last 2k kms.
Cleaning the chain, adjust and lubing will give better smoother ride. Ensure chain is not over-tightened, which will result in hard gear shifts. Adjust to have slack as mentioned in manual.
Check your clutch's condition - is there any drop in speed compared to RPM. If not sure, check the speed the bike does at 4k RPM in 5th gear and let us know.

My xtreme was purchased in August'2011, and it has been 3.5 years of ownership.
I would not say that my experience was great and she is one gem of bike.
But, I must admit that she never let me down be it in Day or Night.
I did learned a lot of things about maintaining a motorcycle with her.

I must thank all my xbhp friends who supported me whenever I seeked any advice or suggestions.
My next target is to clock 100000 Kms with her

Thanks sovondev.

Well, initially I was rash and uncaring for my bike. Had to go for half engine work @ 28K, because piston rings were fried and my bike was consuming engine oil.
Complete cylinder block was replaced.

Apart from that, changed the clutch plates twice @ 28K and 35K. First replacement was with USHA Shriram ones, which was of inferior quality thus lasted only 7K. So second time used genuine ones which are running fine till now.

I have always replaced the air filter after 8-10K and disc pads(Bosch/ASK) after 12-13 K

Hi all, I am new to this community and forum and feel very happy and excited to be a part of the cbz family.

I own a 2007 model CBZ xtreme run 35k kms till date. I take care of my bike's health although it was mostly parked since last 1 year (was driving my car more).

The ownership experiences and issues discussed were of immense help to me as my bike is currently having some issues. will post them later today to seek guidance.

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Hi nishesh, congrats for your ride completing 50k mark, its always a great pleasure to reach those milestones..

I was going through the thread and saw that you have to go for half engine work at 28k, any particular reasons for it.

by the way, do you put up in east delhi..maybe we are very near to each other

Hey guys,
whether there is an electric start problem in my hunk, i m very happy. Just completed my 200 kms ride on my hunk and very happy. Actually, i have gone for interview. I didnt tried too much when i m riding my bike. Just when i saw a blank road at 9:00 am, i given up the full throtle and my speed is at 102 kmph. My constant speed is 73 kmph and whether i m at 105 or 73 , no problem in the bike and no vibrations.
Only when i m returning, i felt little air resistance due to which my helmet is waving.

now i m going to try 500 Kms.
also i got an average of 51 kmpl.

regards,
kundan ghanekar

Due to negligence and rash riding, piston rings of my xtreme were fried. So had to go for half engine work @ 28K. I can't blame the quality since I have seen many xtremes (well maintained ones) clock 50-60K without requiring any engine work.

wow!! such a nice feeling to find a fellow xbhpian and xtreme rider nearby. cheers!

My bike is giving bit of white smoke on high acceleration..average has also come down to 38-40 kmpl from 45-47kmpl. Otherwise pickup is fine and no other difference felt.

Whats this issue..i read white smoke is not good..

Hunk/Xtreams are good bike.
Its advisable not to increase speed too much during first 1000 kms.
It will help you to maintain your bike in long run.

Best of luck.

Actually the colour was little yellow, my cam messed up thecolout.

Since our bike is not DC setup, wont be any battery drain issue.
