One shop had stock of 90/90 18 Zapper FS, but he quoted 2.3K for it

Went hunting for front tyre today, came back extremely disappointed! Leave 90/90 18 tyres, almost most of the shops didn't have 18 inch front tyre form MRF or anything better! All I wanted was proper round profile front tyre with good grips for track-day use, IRC seems to have disappeared along with PSD after ISI rule. Can anyone guide me to source soft tyres ?

Afaik, there is no tyre in 18" 90 section.so for front its very difficult to upgrade. I think in continental they have wide variety but in Chennai I don't know where to get it.

          • cbz xtreme troubleshooting ..... need suggestions.

            Hello XBHPians,
I am having cbz xtreme of 2007 model which is troubling for last few days.
            Points are...
            1. Sudden loss of power
            2. Engine Overheating
            3. Mileage Drop
            4. less pickup in 2nd & 3rd gear.

            Recent maintenance done are....
            1. Change of Block piston assembly.
            2. Head lapping and change of valves.
            3. Rocker arms are changed.
            4. changed clutch friction plates.
            5. carburetor cleaning and tuning.
            6. change of oil.
            7. fuel tank cleaning.

One of mechanic points out to current not flowing properly and suspects faulty CDI and pickup coil.

Experts here please guide me with your expert opinion.

            Regards
            Rohit

Finally changed front tyre to 80/100 18 Zapper FS. Will give a detailed review of both tyres once I start riding more.

It's the stock tyre which is the best in 18". Regarding rear did u remove The cover or u have it on.? Can't we manage the 110 along with chain cover ?

I ride alone most of the times, so tyre hasn't touched chain guard yet, but to be on the safer side, I will just bend the chain guard a bit to avoid any possible contact. I don't want to end up damaging the tyre.

Instead u can also install new xtreme/apache half chain cover if u r ok with exposing chain. Btw I think the new xtreme has o ring chain , Iam not sure though.

Had that in mind, but sadly that wouldn't be a practical mod since I live in a very dusty area, roads are not good too. Having full chain cover is a must in developing country like ours, I see my friends struggling to maintain their chain due to lack of chain guard.

Hi guys m new to xbhp. I am from pune and ride a 2008 cbz xtreme. I do love it the way it is but m thinking of changing the handle to clip on handles. But i do not want the 'clip-on' stock handles that come with new xtreme or karizma. I am talking about the actual style clip on bars. So far all i could find is this (image below). I have been through a few threads on xbhp and saw a few bikes with these or similar handlebars. I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me reviews of the same and/or give me better suggestions from your experiences! I really appreciate all the help that i could get. Thank you.Click image for larger version
