Depends on use, in my D100 I change it at 15k intervals. And when changing I insist on changing both seals along with the oil.

Though the company recommended change interval might be greater than the above, I would suggest that you be the judge of it because different people use their rides differently and one size doesnt fit all in this case.

Yeah why not change it. In my ZMA I never bothered changing it and at 50k the bike was riding low which translates to the springs being out of their service limit.
Though on a different note, they're cheap at 180/- something.

                K. Just one more doubt....changing oil alone is enough or any other part to be changed regarding forks...both front and back .

Rear shocks need to be changed directly as overhauling is not at all easy. It deals with high pressure chamber so you get the idea. Front if not done before then its advisable to dismantle it completely and change oil and seals both. Seal costs ~85Rs per and oil costs 100 for 2 cans of veedol oil. Make sure you pour 160 ml per fork and pump it to get air out. Messing up forks is easy, few ml of oil quantity can make ride hard or too soft
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)

I will do it in asc only, so I think they will do it correctly
Typically how much will be the cost of rear shocks ?

I cant say for svc , my experience says they are best for washing vehicles and cleaning AF only. Find a local mech and let him do it , just take care of quantities. Rear shock costs 2K for each , on the other hand my car's (WagonR) front strut cost only 1400 each , and rear ones cost 550 ,combined they are cheaper than GRS ones

Hello guys. It's been a while!

I have good news this time. :P

The tappet noise I have been enduring for a loooong time now has been fixed after a Cam Chain Tensioner change. And then setting the tappets to 0.07mm and 0.10mm.

FE figures being returned are 48.5kmpl.

That said, at exactly one point between 19kmph and 22kmph on 2nd gear, I get a rough rubbing sensation from the left side of the bike for barely a second. Any idea what this is?

Also, the low end torque still seems to be on the lower side. Bike sometimes switches off while trying to move from standstill. But holds idle just fine. There is a little variation between 1250 RPM and 1000 RPM, but no switching off problems once the bike is warmed up.

Speaking of GRS suspension, my rear suspension is till doing fine, but the springs have faded to a very pale red now. Is it possible to paint only the springs?

Race Concepts has launched a Free Flow Exhaust for the CBZ Xtreme/Hunk/Dazzler etc.. Cost is 9000. It is a plug and play. No fuelling changes are required. 12-15% gains in power and torque. Will also clear PUC tests.

I might get this in the next few months.

exactly the same with my bike too, except my mileage is very good along with superb acceleration.

i think its because of improper clutch adjustment. have to visit mechanic.

BTW i couldnt find the details of the exhaust in their website...!!

Yes, even I'm wondering why Hero is having the price of the GRS so high! They don't last much actually.
Like Sibun suggested, I'm planning to move to old Xtreme's oil filled shocks which cost Rs.1400 per piece.

I'm wondering if my clutch plates are wearing off?

                              As for the exhaust.
