I think, running a tubeless tire with tube inside is fine though it is not safe the other way.
RE Continental GT comes with Tubeless tires fitted with tubes inside from factory.
You can throw this question in the tires section, you'll get more responses.

I doubt the Zapper Q is better.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Post
Zapper C is a good alrounder, but Zapper Q is better in wet and cornering.
I have read various reviews all of which suggest the Zapper Q is good in the wet. Infact, the tread pattern itself suggests that it does little to expel water.
The Zapper C is the best bet. But unless it is available in TL, I think Dunlops are the way to go,
Clarification from MRF.

Even in 120 section, it is available as TL only in 17 inch size. None of the 18 inch variants are TL.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Postyes just now i saw....onlt 120section is TL. but since we have new xtreme as 110TL, we can expect in coming monthsHero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P

Sorry if I have confused you guys.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostJust want to edit if you are on 80-90 constant its good and mileage will be some where 40-45 (don't play with throttle) and if you will carry her 70-80 then she will fly flawlessly even for 800kms in a day, I did that and mileage was 45-50 on highway with little traffic in small cities...
A constant 100 is ok for short 100 kms though
It is 100 KM per day and not 100 KMPH
Would the mileage come around 50-55 if I travel between 45 - 60 KMPH ?2005 - Hercules MTB Thriller | 2018 - Apollo Evade

Why not give the ZMA handle bar a try? Its way too upright if you ask me.Originally posted by ks1418 View PostFolks,
Can anyone suggest a direct fit handle bar for Xtreme 2007 model which gives slightly straight sitting posture.
I think handle bar from Unicorn or Shine would be a direct fit.
Any suggestions !!

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Bike service is due this Friday. 33200km done.
A few things,
1) The handlebar moves back and forth when I try moving it when the bike is stationary. Fellow members mentioned some rubber part that needs to be changed.
2) When I play the front suspension, it doesn't feel smooth. I hear some creaking noise.
3) I think the Coneset needs to be changed finally.
4) There is a lot of tappet noise. It is usually not audible under the helmet, but once I remove the helmet, the bike sounds very bad after a spirited ride. Tappets are set at 0.06 and 0.08/0.10. Either this is tappet noise or the cam chain gone kaput.
5) Bike feels rough in general and bike feels noisy.
6) Chainset might need changing. I have a Dazzler O Ring Chain at home. I want to use it with the new Xtreme rear sprocket and the Unicorn 15T front sprocket. Will the new chain fit over this configuration of sprockets?
7) FE has been good 48kmpl-49kmpl in city condition.
8) Bike turns off on slight throttle.
9) Regarding the timing. The cam sprocket doesn't align perfectly parallel to the head when I adjusted tappets. It seemed to be the slightest bit off the mark. Is this a cause for concern?
10) It's been close to 4 years since I bought the bike. Is it about time I changed the rubber?
I'd like every issue to be fixed. I'd really appreciate some detailed answers.
Also, anything else that needs to be checked up at 33200km? Daily commute is ~35km in peak hour traffic.
Thanks guys.Last edited by ashwin.terminator; 11-26-2014, 10:38 PM.Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P
