Like ATHUl4R told, 60kmph should come below 5k RPM(on top gear).
Since you recently changed clutch plates there is less chance that clutch is worn. Please check for clutch setting, check if there is enough clearance in the clutch lever.
Also check if clutch cable is operating freely, if clutch cable is too old, try changing it.
      What oil are you using?

If you are using good oil replacing the oil in time, keeping the bike chain tight, riding the bike properly, not lugging it, not riding by half clutch pressed, plus not using the clutch roughly, then these wet clutches requires almost nil replacement they are quite strong and demands replacement after very long time, i have seen bikes which have ridden 1.5lakh kms and still with stock clutch plates. It all depends on your riding skills.

            Some updates of my xtreme..
Changed fork oil + oil seals. used valvoline fork oil. Now the fork is in superb condition [emoji3]
Not so stiff nor soft. It is in an intermediate state better than oem oil. Poured 160 ml oil into each forks. Costed 130 for oil 180 for oil seal and 200 labour. Afr tuned and replaced air filter and spark plug. Feels happy with my ride[emoji41]

Life of clutch / clutch plates solely depends upon how effectively one uses the clutch. Clutch plates can wear out at 1000kms also and can wear out at 30000kms also. So, their is no specific life of clutch plates.

AFAIK, the recommended grade of oil for your bike is 10W30 and not 20W50. Any reason to use 20W50 oil? Bike will feel sluggish using heavier grade of oil.

              Cheerz!!

i felt more heat on calves and feet while using 10W30. idle rpm raises to 2.5 - 3 k after riding in hot climate.
mechanic suggested me to switch to 20W50.
now i feel comparatively less heat in same riding condition. idle rpm doesnt raise close to 3k, now it raises from 1.2k to 2K.

yes, you are correct. bike feels sluggish.

Idle RPM increases No matter what engine oil you use, idle RPM never increases. Have you checked out why such huge fluctuation in idle RPM?

Recommended 10W30 oil is Mineral, so the heat felt will be more. Switch to Semi-Synthetic or Full Synthetic and you will surely feel a change.

                  How many kms on odo?

I think what you are trying to say is that when you come to a halt the idling of the engine is high at that time and after some time it starts to decrease. If engine is idling fast after riding in hot conditions then the idle is increasing due to heating up of engine, plus it is also a sign of very lean mixture get your carburetor tuned optimally not too rich not too lean, check your spark plug the colour shouldn't be white.

I'll try this method in the weekend and report back.
Sometimes I feel that the wobbling issue is just psychological, since I feel no other issue such as hard handling etc.
Got my xtreme serviced on Sunday. It has clocked 38600 kms till now.

                      1. For the handle wobbling issue, my mechanic checked the front end alignment and told that it's OK. He just tightened the handle from the centre by removing the 'Hero Honda' batch.
Now, the wobbling is very much gone.

                      2. Rear disc pads (Aftermarket ones) were reduced to only metal plates in approximately 10K kms
Replaced the pads with ASK pads recommended for R15. Now the bite is good.

3.Used genuine Hero 4T 10w30 engine oil (MAK Lubricant) this time. Will report about it's performance after some time. But I must say that the engine is liking this oil

                      4. Cleaned the air filter and spark plug.

                      5. Cleaned the chain with petrol and lubricated using gear oil.

Now, my xtreme has again become a joy to ride

                      • What tips should we follow while riding a new bike?

                        Hii all,

I just took a Hero Hunk. What all precautions should I follow during the first few Kms ??

                        Thanks In advance,

Over ran the usage with my rear disk pads. :/

Disk rotor has scratches on it now. :/ Can I safely just use new pads? The scratches are visible, but not very deep when felt with the fingers. So I assume it's ok to just use new pads.

Would like a more experienced voice to guide me though.

Even myself overused the rear disc pads and they were reduced to metal plates. I've posted the imaged of old as well as new pads in my previous post.
The rear disc plate has also got prominent scratch mark, which can be felt by moving finger over it.
But the good thing is as soon as I replaced the pads with new ones (ASK Make for Yamaha R15 in my case), the bite is back
Don't forget to bleed the system just a little bit, so that the air trapped inside the hose can be pushed out.

My front pad worn out around 1 year ago and it started creating sound as pad base was rubbing disc plate. I ran in that condition for one week and then replaced the pad.
There were some minor marks on the pad, but I thought its okay. Its almost 10k after pad replaced and so far no issues.
