  • Hi riders please help me out with this.
I'm trying to select an engine oil for my xtreme
    1.Valvoline champ 4T (synthetic blend)
    2.Castrol power 1 (part synthetic)
3.gulf pride 4T plus (synthetic blend)
4.elf moto 4 fuel eco (mineral oil i think)
    5.shell advance AX5(mineral oil)

All of there are of 10w30 grade and all cost under 300. The dealer was suggesting Valvoline as the best. I don't want to change grade and what is the difference between part synthetic and synthetic blend?
Only these are available at my place except HH,mak and servo which i don't want to use.

    • minor mods

      hi everyone,

I own a CBZ-X which is abt 15 months old and am planning to go for these mods:
      1) Iriduim sprk plug
      2) K&N air filter

      it is advisable??
what other benefits are there except for performance increase??
does it have any adverse effect on my bike??

also please suggest some good engine oils for my bike...

      Thanks..

Speed is a joy but roads are not race track. Keep speed in your limit and always Drive safe...

          • Thanks for the suggestion dude i have put that one now lets see how it impress me.

            1 question
I had to replace my piston rings but my friend said that its a temporary solution and i have to change the whole cylinder and cylinder assembly for permanent solution? To see all the repairs done to my ride please check the page 180 of the same thread.

              1) Iriduim sprk plug

Will increase your mileage by 2 or 3 kms and a small increase in performance, very slightly noticeable. No bad effects on bike,You can go for it.

              2) K&N air filter

I don't recommend you K & N if you are not going to up-jet your carb,If you use it with out up-jetting ,your engine will run lean and will overheat your engine and may leads to engine damage. I had the same problem before, now i shifted back to stock air filter in my karizma.Just a roaring sound,no increase in performance.

              3) Also please suggest some good engine oils for my bike...

              Stick to HH Oil.

                    • solution for low intensity light

if any one want to improve the intensity of the light just try this

                      1. loosen the focusing screw(shown in picture).
                      2. push it backwards and tighten it again.

it improves your low beam but your high beam won't go far enough if you are ok with it then you can go ahead. It can be done for almost all Indian bikes

                        • got it

Finally finally, Got my first bike delivered after an astounding wait of 2 months. My Xtreme is resting in the garage.Everything went smooth in the showroom.except for 2 things-the battery was still charging,so he asked us to come back tomorrow for it's installation.Took it out of the showroom and asked my dad to ride it home.i was pillion and suddenly i saw-no brake fluid in the disk-brake.realised it only on the road.
Ride report(pillion); it's freaking smooth.pillion seat is a bit high for some, not really a problem as i'll be going solo majorly..
Photos will follow in a couple of days.
Clear left, clear right, vroom !!
