New HH Hunk 2011---details inside
Due to some reason, my previous post didn't showed uptill. SO, I'm posting again and if found duplicate, mods kindly delete one.
History
I had a 2nd hand hunk 1 yr back and I used it very well. I took it to my college in dehradun where i'm pursuing my m.tech. After good amount of use I sold it in december 2010 at the price which i bought
(really surprised). Then after lot of discussion and internet readings, I got myself Pulsar 180 UG4. After riding it for 800 kms and seconds service I found its handling to be the worst and my parents got too tensed about its stability. No offence to bajaj or any pulsar owner, Whenever I used brake it skidded..nd the last one was pretty bad though I didn't fall but it was bad experience. then my father's colleague who is also a bike and car enthusiast told me to sell it off because still Pulsar has balancing issues. After all I did it and lost a good amount of money. Bought Hero Honda Hunk 2011 version with rear disc.
don't ask me about the amount I lost because I'm still feeling guilty of that loss.
Short Run Review of 25 Kms: Well I was using Hunk previously, so didn't feel any difference but to be honest it was a huge difference when compared to pulsar 180 UG4 in the comfort department. Pulsar seating was the worst I ever found out. I have driven from 100cc to 223cc bikes and I'm saying the seating comfort is far better in Unicorn,Hunk,CBz(tall riders),Fz compared to Pulsar. the weight distribution of the mentioned bikes is also quite good and stable than pulsar.
Well the bike performed well within these 25 kms, smooth engine, good torque.
Braking : this is the third bike I'm driving which has Rear Disc. To be frank, just after taking the bike from showroom, I felt there is no brake at rear
...but after using it for two/three times, Now i feel a bit more bit of the brakes. the rear is progressive in nature. Even you brake hard the wheels will not lock up.Front is really good and enough. overall braking is quite good than drum version.
Milage: cannot comment ow , but previous 2nd hand hunk I used to get 45 in hills with a pillion and frankly in this department my pulsar 180 was giving me 48 in city riding. Have to check this one
next after 300 Kms I will give more details and mods please delete one thread if its a duplicate.
Lesson Learnt : do not research or discuss too much. It will effect your decision and selection. My first choices were dazzler,Hunk or FZ and it would have been better if I would have gone with that
P.S: all of the above details are only in my opinion and no offence to any other owner or company bikesDon't research too much while purchasing, else you will commit blunder

Just returned after continuous 51 kms. 80 % city riding and 20% highway.
Comfort: As told earlier. very good and comfortable
Braking: simply awesome. the combination of rear and front brake along with the perfect weight distribution the braking is near to perfect. Why near to perfect , because the tyre are of 100/90 zapper Y. I didn't feel confident with these tyres rather the irc tyres in my pulsar were very good.Even though the braking is gr8( totaly satisfied with this)
engine: Sounds smooth, a bit on the hotter side (new engine) and a bit vibration. I don't know if it was from the body frame or the engine but at around 40 to 48 kmph, I felt little vibration.
Also would like to ask that in my pulsar the gear ranges were short but why? here when I'm driving in 4rth gear 38 Kmph i felt like the bike is moving smooth and there is no more gears left. it was so smooth at that point. in pulsar at 4rth gear I can move upto 36 (smooth and sane driving) , but after that I had to change the gear else there is vibration. Please rectify me if i'm wrong. But in hunk , it was the either case.
So, overall I'm happy with this bike and specially in braking...it gr8
any rectification or suggestion ?...
ohhh ya I forgot to mention Plzz Help me. : the gears are very tight...even pulsar gears were smooth...I don know why.plzz help me...its really so tight that with the bare toe sometimes I missed to change gears...plzz help...and If oil change is needed tell me a good brand 10w30sj oil for hunk
One more thing: Today I had 2 problems one related to non working of horn and second whenever i turn the handlebar the throttle increases to 5000 rpm without touching the accelerator. both the problems were fixed by the service center and the choke cable was damaged inside so changed that under warranty

do you mean the ground clearance that is from ground to seat right? its best suitable for guyz above 5 feet 10 inch. its tall enough. you can say Cbz and hunk are ebst suitable for tall guyz. My opinion only. Exact information can be obtained from hero honda websiteDon't research too much while purchasing, else you will commit blunder
