I just wanted to check whether she can reach her true top speed (117) or not. She did, i am satisfied..Originally posted by sibun View Post

Good open empty wide roads, gradual throttle opening, maintaining same throttle, throughout, minimum break uses, minimum sudden breaking, engine breaking to reduce speed instead of using break. If you learned this you can surely yield maximum average with high speeds. I learned this stuff from here, forum members only.Originally posted by BlackPanther View Post
Bro i guess at constant speed of 80-90 km/hr, she can cruse non stop for 5-6 hrs. We can get good mileage of 45 kmpl+ if ridden in range of 50-70 km/hr. At 100 km/hr, bike feels little stressed. Whenever i do solo ride, i do non stop up to 180 kms without any stops. (Personally i prefer solo rides only. In group ride, it spoils fun of riding. People keeps stopping for pee break, smoke break, tea breaks etc. for every half n hour)Originally posted by itsmevini123 View Post

thanks. mine done 31000KMs in 3 yrs, i just checked the wear indicator, it really refuses to wear.. i guess i have to change after reading ur advice.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostJust want to edit if you are on 80-90 constant its good and mileage will be some where 40-45 (don't play with throttle) and if you will carry her 70-80 then she will fly flawlessly even for 800kms in a day, I did that and mileage was 45-50 on highway with little traffic in small cities...
A constant 100 is ok for short 100 kms though

In my opinion being a hard compound tyre its not possible (less worn out+good grip).
Bro listen don't take risk just change the tyre if its worn out or older than 3 year, simple

Bro my max speed is 114kmph @9300/9400 RPM (used Mobil 1 racing 4t 10w40 that time)... on my hunk.Originally posted by sibun View PostI had hit 122 kph at 9500 rpm and I was fully crouched. I had also a luggage tied up at back. See I told u you haven't fully exploited the bike. Now a days my bike screaming a lot after 6k rpm. The note deepens and intake roar increases a lot after 6k rpm. Will service bike next Sunday near my mechanic.
How does ur bike hits 122kmph@9500 RPM? thats just awesome.
Did you able to find why hunk achieves lower speed? Well as far as my observation is concerned Hunk is exactly 3kmph behind compared to Xtreme @Same rpm.
Another hint: When hunk/xtreme first launched HH declared Xtreme's top speed 110kmph & hunk's top speed 107kmph. again a difference of 3kmph.
Is it the CDI?? there is no difference in sprocket.
If u find the answer please let us (hunk owners) know

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
afaik, the rpm vs speed shall be constant since it depends on drive ratio but now iam confused. sometimes due to tyre pressure difference 1 kmph may vary...but not by this much difference.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostBro my max speed is 114kmph @9300/9400 RPM (used Mobil 1 racing 4t 10w40 that time)... on my hunk.

regarding top speed we cant really say just by gear ratio. it depends mainly on aero dynamics, weight of rider+bike, tyre pressure and of-course wind.

I do not know but why hunk touches less speed than extreme. Even Hero has mentioned top speed to be in excess of 110 kph for extreme while for Hunk its 108 kph. I think it has to do with final drive ratio as although in manual it is same but i doubt the final gear ratio is changed.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostBro my max speed is 114kmph @9300/9400 RPM (used Mobil 1 racing 4t 10w40 that time)... on my hunk.

I had looked in parts manual but unfortunately unlike my Joys manual where every gear number of teeth's are given, in extreme/ hunk only part number and also the gear is denoted by only c5 or g5 for counter gear and main gear respectively.
Even the gear ratio in 4th and 5th are different than unicorn although manual states same because if it were same then extreme/ hunk would be too much short geared. Try fitting extreme sprockets in unicorn then you will see it will not cross 105 kph, but extreme flies past 115 kph in blink of eye.
The gear ratios from 3rd gear onwards are different in unicorn/extreme/ hunk because from third gear onwards gear teeths are not mentioned in parts manual.
Extreme has a final drive ratio which allows it 13 kph for every 1000 rpm.
So at 1 k rpm it will be at 13 kph, 2k rpm 26 kph, 3 k rpm 39 kph, 4k rpm 52 kph, 5k rpm 65 kph, 6k rpm 78 kph, 7k rpm 91 kph, 8k rpm 104 kph, 9k rpm 117 kph and 10 k rpm 130 kph.
But it will not hit 130 kph as at 9.5 k rpm the rev limiter will hit. In fact for pulling beyond 9k rpm in fifth gear you will have to crouch and will pull hard from 4th gear till 8k rpm before shifting.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Guys today i did service from local mechanic, first time away from ASC
, and first time to this mechanic also. they are brothers and they do the service themselves and hence i had some faith. now the bike feels extremely new and the acceleration is excellent. the engine sound has become very low and is super smooth. changed oil from my favorite hero oil to Mobil (always 10W30). will give feedback after oil break in.
One thing he is amazed that when i told him i havent change the chain sprocket till now after 30000kms/3yrs. he said normally chain sprocket will be gone in with in a year (including hero bikes) and my bike's chain is in excellent condition. i told him i regularly lube and will clean chain at every service.
Now one thing he suggested me is to add 2T oil along with petrol ( petrol must be filled atleast 5 liters). this will enable the good compression. he said this with much confident. i told him company has warned not to add any oil...he replied, its nothing if we add 100ml. so guys do anyone tried/came across this.. is it advisable..? ( i think it shouldnt be done because it is a caution message from company)Last edited by dineshaugustin; 11-22-2014, 10:02 PM.

But its good if you pour 1~2ml per liter,

Feels like engine is little bit free. also heard its good for fuel tank to silencer as it prevents rusting.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hey Guys, Tomorrow I am planning to change my CBZ xtreme's tires, both of them. The choice for first is pretty straight forward - Zapper FS, but I am confused a bit about the rear tire. I have three tires, can you please suggest which option should I take?
1. Tire with tube Zapper C
2. Tubeless tire Zapper Q
3. Zapper Q with tube
Is there any problem using a tubeless tire ith tube? I remember SIbun had earlier suggested it is not good to use a tubeless tire on Xtreme's Rim. But I love that grip on Zapper Q.
Please suggest guys. Thank you.

If your bike came with tube type tires, go with same.
I think Zapper Q is available in tube version as well (I used the tube version in my first gen Hunk)

Regarding TL & TT, always select tyre as per stock. if u interchange the probability of going wrong is less, but u dont want to be in the least probability of happening wrong.Originally posted by virendrapareek View PostHey Guys, Tomorrow I am planning to change my CBZ xtreme's tires, both of them. Zapper C is a good alrounder, but Zapper Q is better in wet and cornering.
