Why did my bike lose compression in such a way? And how to restore it in a bike without kick lever?
Did you adjust tappets recently ? Compression loss on a new bike is rare , Tight tappets cause this compression loss . Check valve clearance and set them using feeler gauge .

@All . My phone display is damaged due to which i wont be able to see or reply in thread early.

This diwali and dusshera i came back home and took out my bike from hibernation . Filled in fuel , reconnected battery and did quick checks . Fired her up and she comes alive again . Went for a quick spin and instantly i got that powerful pull that i was missing for so long , If your bike is kept in good condition mechanically , you can feel powerful pull in 5K rpm in 4th gear itself. Frankly nowadays i found myself driving in 4th gear all the way from 4-7K rpm zone. Shifting to 5th makes bike more of a cruiser , downshift to 4th and hell breaks loose

Next morning i woke up early and did a service as it was 2-3 months someone even touched it . Cleaned and oiled chain + sprockets , Greased caliper pins , adjusted chain tension , didnt touch tappets as i wasnt getting any tappet noise , only checked and they were slightly loose but only say by thousandth of mm. finally washed and waxed her and voila

I had bought carburettor insulator in Mumbai itself along with Veedol Takeoff 4T premium , now that bottle costs 316/- rather than 250 rs. Sometime ago i posted that the pipe base was cracked and due to which i was facing vacuum leak issue , so i replaced that with new one , both are rather different , i measured using vernier caliper the diameters are same but exterior design is different . Anyways fitted it , didnt pour new oil as it was just 4-500 kms on Hero oil i poured a month back . I was continuallly running bike at higher revs and it was performing optimal all the time . Just in 10 days i ran bike for 1200kms . Thats 120km per day .

This pic was taken in same road as above pic road and as you can see nothing can be seen as it was pitch dark and it was more than spooky road to drive at night . Not a soul insight and road has some history of ghastly incidents in past which includes witchcraft as told by some villagers .

Bike never even gave slightest hint of wear or tiredness , Just kept revving and pulling hard everytime i nailed throttle.

This pic was taken early morning as weather here is very nice , cold and bleak just perfect for riding . Engine stays cool and believe it or not this is a village road , i found this road mistakenly and i use it to go to nearest city , avoiding poor state highways which is filled with potholes and patchworks.

But as we have it every journey has an ending , just after 2-3 days i have to leave for Mumbai again and will be coming after December again to meet her back.

Did anybody buy this bike recently ? How is the quality of bike compared to earlier? Is it still the same good quality or is there some cost cutting compromises like Unicorn or any complaints with Hunk?
Im looking for upgrading my bike and Hero Achiever was the best bet for me as its 150cc commuter bike with relaxed riding position but it looks like its difficult to get here in south and the closest 150cc bike is Hunk which has tubeless tyres as well ( good one to have) but Im worried about riding position ( sporty?) and the single gear lever ( prefer Heel and Toe for comfort and avoiding damage to shoes)
Hope its ok to post in this thread and not in What Bike forum
In all honesty, I have found quality to have improved after the parting with Honda. Brake Master Cylinder is from Bybre now. My bike bore no imprint at all when I bought it.

And riding position is very, very ergonomic. So no need to worry.

As for the gear shifter, I don't know. :P

And some good news for the rest of us!

Look at what MRF dropped by as a Diwali gift.

That said, reviews say the Zapper Q has excellent dry grip but bad wet grip. The Vyde is a super soft compound. So expect phenomenal grip, but phenomenally high tyre wear as well.

The Zapper C is available in 100/90 R18, but not as tubeless and it seems to be the best bet from MRF for the tube type 18 inchers.

I'm glad we finally have some choices!

To those thinking about using tube type as a tubeless, please go through this thread.

Bikers Beware: Tube Type, Tubeless and Tire conundrum! - Team-BHP

I am itching for the current tyres to wear out.

The Street Sirac was apparently a very good tyre till Michelin decided to change the compound according to some users.

Other options seem to be the Dunlop Geo Cruiser and the Dunlop Monster. Both are high performance compounds, but the Monster supposedly has better water channeling as well.

As for your mileage change your ridding pattern. Control your right wrist and also see that you build speed gradually and try to maintain as much speed with as little throttle opening. This way you can get mileage.

I ride at 70-80 kph mostly but still i get so much mileage as i never pull hard and gradually gain speed. With throttle opened slightly i will be cruising instead of pulling the bike.

Post a video then we can help.

10 W 30 is the recommended grade and do not change to any other grade. 60-70 kph is the region where the extreme vibrates. So nothing to worry. Ride above 70 kph and you will see vibs will decrease a lot.
            UPDATE UPDATE..
Bike 8366 kms on ODO. Changed oil back to trustworthy VEEDOL Take 4t Premium 10W30. Bike became so revvup friendly, smother that it make unicorn feel shame :P. So all culprit was SHELL AX7. I swear i`ll never use that oil again. Also as suggested by you turned carb screw to 1.65 turns.
Filled 100rs fuel (1.39 ltrs, 72.8rs/ltr), bike ran for 76.5kms so average 55.03 km/ltr (ridden in range of 45-65 km/hr, learning to control right wrist to build speed gradually).
It could have done more but i ripped hard twice to 100km/hr+ on highway, shifted on redline 5 time while on way to office when stopped at signel (Some chicks were riding around so couldn`t resist ripping hard to make show off ) If that things not done could easily got 60 km/ltr.
Happy man now. Thank a lot bro
Done with 4th service of bike. Just asked mech to wash & make regular check ups, not to tune, tight anything as bike is not giving any trouble.

Also put 2ml 4t oil per litre of fuel in the gas tank every 1000kms or so to prevent this. My bike runs like new after 7years of daily use with this method. And this method is not well known so there will be sceptics and their argument is valid in a way but trust me this info comes from a reliable source.
My experience regarding using 2t oils is quite different. 2t oil builds more carbon deposits in head, upper side of piston and small area of upper side of combustion chamber and alters compression ratio in a 4 stroke engine. I opened the head and removed the thick black carbon deposits by scratching it.
No Arguments, never ever use 2t oils or any third party additives to petrol in 4 stroke carbureted motor bikes and this is what every manufacturer of the motor bike say.

infact using 2t oil is better than 4t . 2t oil burns off easier with minimal deposits compared to 4t oil ! the chemistry of 2t oil is different from 4t. they are meant to burn and burn cleaner.
You can use 2ml per litre every few 1000km , but ensure it is 2t oil - I have used this on 4 stroke bikes especially on long rides. Never try this on FI bikes though!!
The amount 2ml is negligible and is supposed to help with the top end lubrication. But don't do it frequently (if you are doing long rides or high speed runs its ok, but definitely not for everyday puntering around town), and use only 2t oil !

True buddy. I however used 4t since I was a little doubtful that 2t in 4 stroke bike is a good idea but since you say you did it and got good results I'll give it a try as well. Thanx
Btw my old bike is used solely fir the highway now. I never put oil in petrol for city anyway.

Why should anyone use 4t oil with petrol in 4 stroke engines?. At least 2t oils burn while combustion in two stroke engines. . But 4t oil? . ITS DEFINITELY NOT FOR LUBRICATION DURING COMBUSTION PROCESS. But please be informed before giving advise.

You are free to experiment with anything with your bike. Dude, You must be joking to give advice to someone to use 4t oil to mix with petrol. Please don't misguide some new bikers who take xbhp advises seriously.

Keep it simple : DO NOT mix any oils with petrol for use in four stroke bikes. It will do more harm than good.
