By Firing I mean the engine sound. It now sounds as if there is something wrong with the silencer, and the sound seems to be coming from under the seat instead from the silencer. I am not sure what is wrong. Perhaps there is something amiss with the newly fitted air filter.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
hey riders,
Which is the best fork oil available for cbz?
Also which grade.
It feels like slipping when front brake is applied hard. Yesterday I saw the front fork oil is leaking.
Is this slipping feel due to faulty forks

Check air filter and there is a rubber pipe connected to the air filter box to the space under seat it is called snorkel. I think snorkel is not inserted properly or missing. Check it.Originally posted by virendrapareek View PostBy Firing I mean the engine sound. I dont know about others, but I find Motul very good as I needed hard damping and it served the purpose for me.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Posthey riders,

Oil leak means less particle for damping so it will loose it functionality.

Tyre is performing much better than stock, break-in is gone I have completed 3000 kms on it in, did Sach Pass last to last week, MRF Zapper Q is good for dry tarmac, for wet its only better than stock nothing else and in regards to 110 section I up-sized it because of looks only and it looks fabulous, not much changes are required in chain guard so dont worry about it.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Postbro, how is ur rear tyre performing..?? i hope breakin would have completed by this time. any signs of rubbing on chain guard since its 110 section?

Though, Ceat vertigo sport and Ceat secura zoom are the best tyre for wet/dry/offroad, but they are not available in 110 section so could not get them or else you can look for MRF zapper S also that was also not available in 110 section when I was at the shop, so got Zapper Q

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
It's done! The mechanic had fitted the filter with one screw instead of the correct five or six screws. That's why I was getting this strange sound. He was giving me some bs about New air filters sound lifeboat and so On. I will never visit that servi've centre again. It's sadguru service centre On jm road in pune. Thanks for your help buddy

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Guys need urgent help.
Today i started bike after 6 days. Bike started in one push with choke. I let her idle for 3-4 mins n cleaned bike. Eventually i turned off ignition & later tried starting again. But this time she was not starting. Tried Kick several time but kick was going down easily. Later thought that engine might be overfilled so open throttle wide & kicked 5-6 time, still kick going down easily. Tried putting her in 2nd gear for push start but bike was giving no petrol effect. Finally removed spark plug & to my surprise the 2-3 mm required between tip was not there. It was completely touched with each other. So cleaned spark plug & did gap adjustment of 2 mm. After 1 hr of hustle bike finally started but now she started making very loud tak tak tak noise like something is hammering in side engine, sound it makes when tappets were loose which was not there when bike started first time in the morning. How come tappet will get loose & start making noise in 1 hr?
Please help me what happened to my bike. Is there any serious issue related to engine?

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
The starting issue you faced may be due to sticky valves, as you said you were not feeling engine compression when kicked.Originally posted by PRATHM View PostGuys need urgent help.

I've read about this in the forum, happened with Hero bikes.
I'm not sure why the tappet noise though.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
pratham- that was a case of sticky valve. The solution was to put a few drops of oil in combustion and crank slowly. then fit spark plug and crank. Bike will start.
And plug gap is not 2 mm but 0.8-0.9 mm gap. The sound you are hearing is valves hitting the electrode of spark plug. Man see the manual before adjusting anything. The manual s given for a purpose. Quickly open the spark plug and adjust gap otherwise the valves and piston crown will get damaged.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Bro I went to service center & guy there adjusted tappets Still the problem was there. He said rocker arms are damaged. I asked him how this could happen? Its too early to rocker getting damaged. Then main dealer said that might be due bad petrol quality & all. What should i do now. I had already went to service center & mechanic there adjusted tappets & still sound was there. Should i stop him replacing rocker arms under warranty before he do some more engine open up? Please reply me urgently.Originally posted by sibun View Post@pratham- that was a case of sticky valve. re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Did he adjust using feeler gauge or by hand itself ? Sticky valve syndrome is something related with bad fuel and improper valve clearance issue . So fill form reputed fuel stations in morning . If you have feeler gauge set tappets yourself as there are very few mechanics that use it , ASC will never do it. Using the same feeler gauge set plug clearance too at .8-.9mm , 2 mm is so large it would have scratched valve face while hitting , Also why did you increase plug gap ? it wont cause better combustion on other hand spark wont jump due to turbulence in chamber .Originally posted by PRATHM View PostBro I went to service center & guy there adjusted tappets Still the problem was there. Rockers need replacement when one runs with loose tappets for long and there is play in arms , so no matter what gap you set , it will give tik tik noise always , ashwin.terminator can help in this regard , he replaced his rockers recently . First confirm that rockers are gone, they dont go bad before atleast 10K kms . Mine is at 13900kms and *touchwood* no tappet or any unwanted noise till date. So first confirm that it has damage otherwise it will be of no use and cost you money for no reason.
