Are you sure that this sound is coming from the engine tappets, exhaust of the bike also make this sound due to catalytic converter, excessive noise can be due to valve clearance being too much.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
if you are sure it is the tappet, then take your bike to ASC and resolve it immediately. every small problems we let it free will become a bigger one.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostFinally the signature tappet noise has started in my New hunk which has done 1800kms only.
After riding 5-10kms loud tik tik noise comes from engine but when the engine cools down that sound vanishes.
My idle rpm is heavily fluctuating from 1000-1300 rpm and most of the times the bike stalls when i release the throttle.engine feels harsh & very very vibey.
Shall i adjust the tappet now or shall i wait for few more kms?
regarding idle rpm fluctuation, my bike would do between 1000-1200 in regurlar interval, i mean during particular cranking position. it is common if doesnot vary much.
if your bike stalls at higher rpm, it is due to clogging of air filter. if is does at lower rpm itself, then the air fuel mixture is not correct. take it to ASC.
whatever may be the problem, look inot it asap.

Try replacing the fork seal from any mechanic, it has been broken. Also fill up front suspension oil during this process.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostRecently done Mana, Uttrakhand, about 1200kms on my bike, the roads was pathetic but bike behaved flawless, just facing a little issue, little bit of oil is leaking from left rear suspension, do I have to get it repair this one or can I exchange with another (repaired) one by giving this to mech. shop...?

Oops. Didn't read it was rear suspension, sorry.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostAnd what about the GAS, because a Fus-Fus sound which was coming earlier from both forks but now its not coming from left suspension...
I think the Fus-Fus was gas leaking out of the reservoir before the oil starts leaking. As the left suspension's gas is empty so you will not hear the sound anymore.
Contact a good mechanic and check for the seals, and rod if required.

The sound will be there when the suspension is doing good.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostAnd what about the GAS, because a Fus-Fus sound which was coming earlier from both forks but now its not coming from left suspension...
Since you see oil leaking from suspension, I think it is gone.
Repairing rear shock absorbers is not a good idea, get a new pair if possible. I think a pair will cost around Rs.3500/-

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Yes the sound is coming from the tappets. its not coming out of the exhaust. i sold my 2009 cbzx just because of this irritating tappet noise and vibrationsOriginally posted by kusmaker View PostAre you sure that this sound is coming from the engine tappets, exhaust of the bike also make this sound due to catalytic converter, excessive noise can be due to valve clearance being too much.
Need to adjust valve clearance for sure@2nd service. But why does only this bike has so much tappet problem that has clocked only 1800kms, i never saw any other bike that gives these kind of frequesnt tappet problem.
yes its the tappet for sure, engine sounds like a 100000kms mileage hunk after riding for 5-10 kms, very harsh and noisy. will go the SVC asap. they dont have feeler gauge lol so i will bring my ownOriginally posted by dineshaugustin View Postif you are sure it is the tappet, then take your bike to ASC and resolve it immediately. every small problems we let it free will become a bigger one.

Yes stalls at lower rpm. so afr mixture is not correct. but why?? its a new bike factory tuned which i never wanted to touch untill 30000kms. why this bike has so much issues and problems, cant it run hassle free then whats the point of HERO bikes???
again whenever i pass over even a small pothole/speedbreaker there is a loud THUD sound from the front. how do i solve this?
My bikes petrol tank cap's paint is peeling off.
Petrol tanks paint has faded where i keep my knees. why so?? i dont see other bikes having this kind of paint quality.
Whats happening with me? vibrations, tappet, paint quality etc everything at once!!!

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
First of all relax buddy, i can understand your tension but sometimes these things do happen, get your tapped adjustment corrected, get the carburetor tuned again from asc, the bike are just like humans some humans are very understanding, polite and helping and some are totally opposite, and so are the bikes, for your front end issue just check the front end for looseness and change the oil front forks oil also, you can't do anything on paint issue either it is peeling from tank cap or from knee recess, it's becuase the paint is so thin that a slight rub is getting the paint off, max you can do is find a good painter in your area and get it repainted again with 4or 5 coats with equal coats of clear.

dude.relax a bit. i know it would be much frustrating when our beloved bike is not upto our expectation.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostYes the sound is coming from the tappets. its not coming out of the exhaust. i sold my 2009 cbzx just because of this irritating tappet noise and vibrations

first for engine harsh, check that engine oil. in most cases that would be the problem creator wrt vibration and harsh engine. check the oil level also.
2. since you have already given for service, by mistake ASC guys would have altered the screw. but clearly explain them the problem you are facing.
or you can visit a showroom and check the air screw orientation, how it is differing from urs..!
3. dont get worry about paints. few things which we need to compromise. unnecessary worries is not good for our health and b=we will loose our love on our bikes. in my bike paint from the brake and clutch lever was gone and it is now like white aluminium, but i never cared since iam enjoying my every ride.
3. new hero/hero honda bike are always poor performer, but once they are done 5000kms or so, then the real performance will be revealed.
4. tell asc every problem, even you try changing to another ASC. most importantly check engine oil quality. i would recommend to change it. and never use other oil. hero oil is the best and unlike other says, for me it retains the smoothness upto 5000km...only thing is heat generation will be bit more but that has been taken into account in the engineering phase itself.i used shell AX7 but i feel with hero oil the bike revs freely post 4k rpm.
MOST IMPORTANT DO YOUR RUNNING IN CAREFULLY

First of all relax. Nothing to worry and nothing is serious problem to demand any such aggressiveness or terming the company bad. From the day you have bought you are not satisfied with your bike. That means you will never enjoy the bike. Then why did you buy the bike?If the tappet is loose then it is not a problem as tappets are made to be adjusted and there is o such setting that it will run for ages without requiring adjustments. In 1800 kms, then let me tell you that when we bought the Joy its first tappet adjustment was done at 500 kms in first service. Was that a problem or made the bike bad. Adjust the tappets using feeler gauge and this bike tappets will require more adjustment because it has roller bearings on rocker arms and has high lift camshaft. The high lift camshaft wears out the bearing quickly as a result we have to adjust tappets to take up the play in the bearings. If it is stalling at lower rpms that means engine is flooding with fuel. Are you sure bike is factory tuned and not fiddled at service. Come on factory tuned doesn't tuned it is perfectly tuned. Some bikes run with factory tuning perfectly and some bikes require re-tuning after running-in is completed. If the tuning from factory were to be perfect then company wouldn't have provided system for adjusting. The tank hasn't faded from where you kept knees but it has become hazy due to rubbing of fabric over paint. What you can do is polish the said area and coat it with a good quality wax or paint sealant. Using of wax is always recommended for keeping the shine. Also use a tank pad on sides like the ZMR has. For the loud thud check the handle racer, would have loosened. Tighten it.Vibrations will decrease as engine settles down and use good quality 10W 30 oil. Give time and all problems will solve. JUst getting pissed and thinking why i bought this bike will not solve problems.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostYes the sound is coming from the tappets. its not coming out of the exhaust. i sold my 2009 cbzx just because of this irritating tappet noise and vibrations

Thanks bro for your help. Its not like I am not happy first of all tappet noise occurred and i had no worries but later on when more problem occured i became frustrated and getting mocked by my friends continuously since they were always against Hero bikes. their new bikes (Trigger/FZ) has no such kind of problem. I hardly rev my bike & let them ride my bike. because then they will laugh out loud on me due to the vibrations and the engine sound. already making huge joke regarding paint quality. Why should i give them chances??Originally posted by sibun View PostFirst of all relax. Nothing to worry and nothing is serious problem to demand any such aggressiveness or terming the company bad. Did you purchased bike for yourself or for your friends, there are loads of owners who have honda bikes and they have got whole lot of complaints against the product so it's not that honda or yamaha is complaint less, plus every complaint or niggle whether small or bigger will make you learn something about your bike and the more you learn of your bike more you will fall in love with the vehicle, what kind of friends are these people who are laughing on someone's problem if a person can't help someone then he should not escalate a problem either, but you are on right forum and you will get right advice, be mature, try to learn about your bike, love your bike, and try to notice every small positive or negative of your bike and let people laugh.
