Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
You should stick to stock Hero 4T 10w30 engine oil for upto 8000-10000 KMS as your bike is in run in period so synthetic/semi synthetic oils wont be good for the engine because they have better lubrication properties than mineral oils and they would not let wear and tear happen in your engine which is not good.Originally posted by ASHU1986 View PostHi which engine oil should i use
Post 8-10k kms you can use Shell AX7. Its a good engine oil.
Experts please correct me if I am wrong.Last edited by Brezon95; 02-01-2016, 09:36 PM.

Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Then i think its more to do with engine characterictic since they all share the same tech with various capacity. fortunately it got resolved for me and its been more than a year i faced this issue.Originally posted by SatSon View PostI have seen many ZMA owners reporting this in ZMA thread, and remember someone referring to this as Honda sticky valve problem
Looks like many similar incidents are reported on Honda engines as well.
i would highly recommend stock oil which is a good balanced one. i have used til now only hero oil in between tried AX7 for twice but not happy with that because of different grade. stock grade will provide little more mileage and free revving of engine while going higher grade will reduce mileage a little and power loss to overcome increased viscosity. but 10W40 will be little better if u do many long drive. smoothness wise both i felt the same.Originally posted by ASHU1986 View PostHi which engine oil should i use
i have seen many guys not at all happy with hero oil, but for me it did the job very well and still using it and completed 45000kms.
If ur bike has run less than 10000kms then strictly stock oil.Last edited by dineshaugustin; 02-02-2016, 07:16 AM.

Iam not sure sticky valve could be the reason. AFAIK, some of the causes for sticky valves are oil entering the combustion chamber, over heating of engine or dirty engine oil.
Now I remember, kick rod slips in my bike, usually if the bike has been unused without oil change for a period of 3 months or above. May be because of dirty engine oil/ even bad quality fuel.
I had been using Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40 for the past 2 years, engine is tremendously smooth till 5.5k Rpm. >5.5k Rpm its the exact opposite. But, no heating issues, whatsoever.

Have you ever cleaned engine oil screen filter and centrifugal filter.Originally posted by jetsetgo08 View PostNow I remember, kick rod slips in my bike, usually if the bike has been unused without oil change for a period of 3 months or above. AFAIK No...unless the mechanic is diligent to do it himself.
Thanks, will sure get it done this time. Heard that its a tedious process, could you please post some pictures of its location in Xtreme.
Also, does it negate the engine vibs?

Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
i wouldnt say that. may be it because the xtreme u rode is not maintained well, atleast in performance front.Originally posted by ASHU1986 View Postrode xtreme sports after using hunk for 20 days, the bike looked cramped and less pickup than hunk, atleast now i think i made good decision by buying hunk

It will be inside clutch side cover in almost all hero honda bikes. see my signature about oil filter cleaning. It definitely improved oil circulation hence reduce vibrationOriginally posted by jetsetgo08 View Post
