  • Guys, my friends facing a prob with his new CBZ-X.

The thing is that he can't give sudden accelerations in 5th gear. If he does so then the bike acts like theres no petrol but doesnt stop. i.e it starts hopping.
So he recently gave the bike to SVC and they returned it saying that they cleared the issue. But now the prob is that he's kinda facing the issue in every gear and mostly happens when he tries to overtake. Like riding then downshift and acceleration for overtaking, suddenly the bike starts behaving like theres no petrol and starts hoping, but doesnt stop. Its very risky to ride a bike like that. And its barely been a month since he bought it. Just completed 2k yesterday.

    Additional.

This issue only happens when the bike's hot. Else everythings fine.

      • Hi guys..been away for a week busy with college tech fest.. guess what, rode 1500 kms in 1.5 weeks for sponsorships and invitations. The best part is that, all the fuel expense was taken from the event fund..
Bike is doing fine. Yamalube is doing a wonderful job

Few possible resons : Check the Air Filter
Check the sparkplug color, may be the engine is running too rich
get ur carb tuned if required

              Regards

The SVC Guys are blaming the transmission, though I dont think thats possible.
And the prob only arises when the bikes hot.

me too not convinced wid that. Carb is the culprit in my opinion, get it checked from a good mechanic. Set his idle RPM as well.

Yeah bro, but the doubtful thing is that, at first the prob was only with 5th gear, but after taking the bike to SVC the probs started happening in every gear.

If problem is when it has become hot then the chances are faulty spark plug,The plug cap, the cdi unit etc.1st change the plug and see ,if no change then change the plug cap The red one with wire if possible (as it can leak charges) there after try with another cdi unit (costs around Rs. 1800/- ) but it being new under guarantee the comp. will change it . I am telling this because I had a problem similar to this in my super splendor. I changed cdi .

oookk, now i got it .
AFAIK this gap would be there for :
                                1) Easy removal/insertion of tail light assembly (as i have done it for LED lighting ), had this gap not been there, it would be damn difficult to do remove that unit.
                                2) If there's load on top of it, it wont damage the assembly that much . if its directly attached to the body, there are high chances of getting damaged.

my personal thoughts, may b something else or just an manufacturing issue , by d way why u r so much bothered bout that ??
