A good set of spanners like this will cost you 350rs.

Guess you need 8mm T Spanner to open the Front Sprocket cover, you can use normal spanners, but its hard to remove with normal spanners. These are available from 65rs per spanner at hardware shops.

Exactly, but i found that nut's in my bike are very soft, with these spanners their edges get damaged very easily. so bought a new 8mm Round spanner for 60 Rs .

finally done with the cleaning... Thanks a lot Aneesh for such a wonderful explanation. need a good deep bath now

aside are my sprocket teeth okay ??

and i was curious to know weather or not i can clean my oil filter as well ?

Put the spanner correctly on to the bolt,So they will never slip and damage the edges.Improperly put spanner will damage it.

Welcome bro. DIY makes us 100% satisfied, right?.

aside are my sprocket teeth okay ??
Yes,they are fine. Its a new bike, right? No such problems in a new bike.

and i was curious to know weather or not i can clean my oil filter as well ?
There is no such an oil filter in HH bikes,be just a oil strainer which we cleans during an oil change. There is a centrifugal filter inside the engine and it needs cleaning only after some 30000kms+.

Just a small net like thing,a tea strainer like thing,It dont needs replacement, just clean it during every oil change.

Part No. 6 is the oil strainer.

                    This is the filter exactly.

No,You have to separate the drain bolt spring and the filter,so you have to drain the oil. There wont be much dirt,as your bike is new there will be some metal particles in the filter.

If you want to clean it, drain the oil in a clean bucket or something, check and clean the filter and then pour the same oil. DONE!

                        • Karizma Oil Filter and see the oil with metal particles of new karizma ran only 56kms. Got it from Net.

                              • Hi fellow CBZians

After months of research and analysis, i zeroed in on CBZ Xtreme 2011 (Double Disc). This is my first bike and I am pretty excited about it.

I've ridden bikes of my friends to learn the basics but still I am not very proficient in riding bikes. Now that I've my very own CBZ, I am being extra cautious not to hurt her during her starting run-in period

I read several posts around xBHP and concluded that for a perfect run-in I shouldn't rev it too hard, not take it >=5k rpm and also not cross 40-45kmph.

Got my bike's delivery on 29th September, 2011. Damn excited and took my friend with me who knew bikes well for delivery. From the day one, I've tried following everything about run-ins but yesterday, one of my close friend asked me to lend him my bike. He was really mean with the bike and revved it so hard, I guess he did touch 6-7k at a point. Also, he touched a speed of 60kmph.

I'm worried about the bike now, will this stint affect its mileage. Also considering my lack of skills, I unintentionally wud've done some harm as well like gear-shifting delays (say, I've a speed of 13-14kmph and still on first gear or gear 3 when speed is around 14kmph, the latter makes my CBZ make this weird "thad thad" sound and I lower gears then).

I am newbie in riding bikes but from the day this bike entered my life, I've found myself emotionally attached with it. Can someone help me on how should I get past through this run-in period safely without hurting my engine's efficiency considering my beginner riding skills.

Also what extra precautions should I take?

So far I've ridden 200kms. Not sure about oil changes as I am totally new to this biking world and waiting for the first service at 500km. The rear disc brakes felt like normal drum brakes in the beginning but I'm feeling their effect a little now. Also, the gear changing has become a little hard now.

                                Added few snaps
