Hi Guys,

Got the bike yesterday. Nice machine. What surprised me a bit is the manufacture year of the bike is mentioned as 2010. Getting a bike in Oct 2011 i expected the manufacture to be 2011 (plz correct me if I am wrong).

The rest is well. Going through the run-in period - riding a bike after many years so would need some inputs from all:
1) I am keeping the RPM below 3.7, and speed till 40km/hr - is this correct?
2) In 4th gear the RPM goes beyond 3.5 if taken beyond 37km/hr so I am maintaining a speed of 38-40 kmph on the 5th gear: is this ok or am i Lugging the bike? (the engine sounds smooth in thos condition)
3) what is the lower limit value of rpm below which one should not drive the bike? (the rpm on which the bike knowcks or lugs?)

Please advise.

Its absolutely fine, but do stretch it upto 60 Kmph once or twice. so that engine runs on various speeds/rpm's.

again fine, no issue,but the thing is to occasionally take the bike upto 55-60 Kmph .

It depends on the Gear and speed at that time. U would come toknow urself when ur engine is going to halt

its been month since i rode my machine....n when i came home n took it for a ride it started giving pain in my ass...rite now m feelin it..grs suspension has become 2 harder....front one is perfect bt man rear one has become damn hard....any solution?

Get it checked at Service center, may be it requires refilling or something... dont worry it wil be okay, and dont forget to warm up ur engine well before riding

Hi all,
all of a sudden i have started facing a problem. Ride has become very harsh now.Oil change was due so did it today after 900km (odo = 2400Km) Shell Ax3 20W40. Even now the engine is not so smooth as normal. It stalls pretty easily in traffic causing a hell of problem for me. I dont like such a harsh riding with my ride. I guess my chain needs cleaning as my mechanic told me after inspection.(Gear changes are hard even after oil change.).
I m planning to clean it off by myself,so need advice regarding the same :
1)Shud i use petrol or kerosine or any other thing?
2)how to open that CHAIN COVER neatly?
3)after completely cleaning the chain, what should i apply on it to keep it smooth ?

Use Kerosene or Diesel for cleaning the chain,Use a brush to clean it.

Paint brush or an old tooth brush will do it.

There are 4 bolts to hold the chain guard in place,remove those and you will be able to remove it,Putting it back is a bit tricky in ZMA,not sure about Cbz.

Bearing grease reduces chain noise by 50% than oil.

I'm quite quick in opening up things,though i take time to put'em back in place,lets c how it goes

Can i use normal grease 9yellow paste thing ) for same? if yes how much it would cost? does it come in a pouch or so ??

Dont know about that 9yellow thing,I bought the MAK Bearing Grease 500gms for 110rs.

Grease are available in petrol bunks in 200gms pack too.

actually that was "(" instead of 9

.ok will look out for same tomorrow as it will serve the purpose later as well.
aside how i m supposed to lubricate the joints (gear shift etc0 with this grease only na? gears are feeling harde than before , even after oil change .. wat may be the reasone behind this ?

btw how is ur ride ??

Guess you have to use engine oil for that purpose.

How much kms you ride after the oil change today?

around 8-10 km, but still it was feelig harsh(like something struck inside,stalling often in traffic). Poured Shell AX3 20W40,have u used it?

Still at svc,waiting for Rear fairing to arrive.

i hope it does arive pretty soon

I haven't tried anything other than HH 10W30 and Gulf Pride 4T Plus.

Stalling i traffic? Whats the idle rpm?
