        • Hi guys..
its been a while since I last posted in this thread. Bike just crossed 3k today (after almost 5.5 months )

Engine oil is due for change, but postponed due to the lack of 2 basic resources - time and money. :P
Getting mileges from 42 to 47.
I'm satisfied with every part of the bike except the headlight. Its near useless. Got it focused once, but no use.
If any of you have upgraded ur headlights, please do reply..

Looks like every guy with a cbz is busy riding it including me
i"m coming online after a long time of about 5 months. About the bike, It crossed 1600 kms yesterday. 2'nd service is done and it is super refined. The run-in worked nicely and i am happy with what i'm experiencing.Although the mileage is less than what i expected-i'm getting only 38-43. I guess it's because of all the city rides and no highway rides.downside is that i am getting some gear slipping from 2-3'rd gear.any ideas?

Don't use any solvent on the plug . Go to a good hardware shop . Ask for the finest bristle brass-wire brush they have & the finest grit of emery paper they have ( 800 >) . Buy a plug gaping gauge ( tiny tool ) from a motor-tools shop ( the same place your mechanic buys his work-tools from ) . You'll need these at least if you are keen on plug chops .

                  As suggested sir....
actually i wanna make sure that m not runing too leanthough i m not getting any sign of TOO LEAN mixture, but still....

one more doubt ..in case my self start goes Kaput(in worst case..), how i m supposed to start my bike, and do u think k it is good move to remove kick start from bth Hunk and cbz-x latst model as well as FZ/P220 . . .though battery is MF but still there are so many other component that can't be completely reliable ..

                  Thanks

Thats quite normal for city rides as u hardly shift to 4/5th gear.In highways i get around 55-58 where as in city area my mileage drops to drastically 35-38,its normal and nothing to worry about, depends upon ur riding style, road conditions and few other factors as well. so . . .Dnt worry just enjoy ur ride...

"TPFC is the main culprit for the low mileage of old CBZ. Guys just remove it and get more mileage although you dont suffer much in pickup."
What is the transient power fuel control system (tpfc) in cbz bike?

It is nothing but using a constant choke carburettor. This type carburettor was used in Ambassador mark ll cars in 70, s. This carburettor gives jerk less engine raise.Carb. jet needle is not directly operated by the throttle. Vaccum created by the throttle valve opens the slide which controls the air fuel ratio through a tappered jet.
