anyway top speed depends on so many factors. most importantly the engine and the power spread but also total weight, tyre pressure, oil level, aerodynamics etc..
i own fazer and i touched 115kph(on speedo), still there were some juice left. most important thing isn't top speed, its the confidence that the bike gives the rider to push her to its maximum.
I have driven xtreme and hunk but i felt the brakes of fazer better, its bybre(brembo) made. also the monoshock and the fat tyres will give you a lot of confidence on corners.
one thing i love in the cbz xtreme is its LED tail lights..awesome

    FZ/FAZER have 14hp where as cbz/hunk have 14.2 0.2 hp more
i find fz as VFM but fazer Additional 7k just for fairing? Not at all VFM IMO

Pulsars and Yammies are still out there but the average commuter seems to be choosing HH over others!!
I see a lot many Xtremes now as compared to earlier when Pulsars were the in-thing!
220 sales also seems to have dipped. Might not be because of the performance but the 'oversold' factor!?

HH Passion sales (all versions) has increased surely along with the extreme. (Though, the Hunk still remains elusive :P the most underrated bike).
However in the premium segment, bajaj and yamaha seems to be at the top.

This observation is something to cheer about I guess?

P.S. All this observation is not based on market numbers but what I observe on road on a daily basis. Numbers might still give a close competition to HH?

Exactly!!! Here in HYD whenever there is a signal and when i look around i see minimum of 3-4 extremes its almost equal with the pulsars now(Hunk is seen but just sometimes) Here the craze for extreme is at peak...just after 1 year almost every single lane has a new cbz i saw all the diff colors outside except vibrant orange of the latest version....passions are like ants here crawling everywhere discover also sells very well here

fz fazer 14 ps to be precise.
cbz hunk 14.4 ps to be precise.
fz has a kerb weight of 136 kg while hunk 146 kg and xtreme 149 kg and additionally fz has too much low end torque resulting in better performance than fz despite of having low power.
but if you ask me fz was never vfm.
btw new cbz is selling well just because of the new goodies.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

abt 1 week before buying my cbz i used to take census of bykes in my area road.

          considering all bykes

          60~70 % will be HH

          considering only 150 cc,
          70% will be pulsar 150

have to wait a day to see 3~4 cbz
but there is more hunk than cbz.

but happy to say the new cbz will rule 2012 as its count increasing rapidly

          • Today, touched 110 (speedo) on my Hunk. This is just the second time I cross 100.
Belive me guys, this bike goes like crazy after 80-85 kmph.
It was indeed a sweet discovery. I mean, the bike just zooms ahead. From 80 to 110 it took just around 10 seconds or so (rough figure).
The point here is, if you want to have beautiful acceleration, just be in the correct RPM
range. Coz, after the high speed run only I came to know how important the RPM range is. Afterward, I was riding like 4-7K and it was just OSSUM.

+1 to that. Performs like a typical 150cc bike but drinks fuel like a 200+cc bikes. I was able to do 104kmph in fz that too with great difficulty. I was like "wtf... is that all?" i was expecting more from it.

                  • some guy here posted few days back abt leaking/vaporizing of petrol through loose petrol cap.
i think i am also experiencing same problem. my cap is not tight and while closing it i won't come reverse as he said but i can experience strong petrol smell through the key hole and during noon the front area of my home smells petrol.

im getting 35~38 km on rs50 petrol (ie 0.74 l) when i burn it in a single ride but that drops to 30 or less if i burns it in 2~3 days.

                    is this a problem?

i don't know how you came to this conclusion that p180 is less stable at high speeds.on the contrary it is super stable.

Even when I went to my native town in Kerala, I was able to see good number of Hunks in my town. I think there is good hike in the Hunk sales now, atleast in Kerala.

But in Chennai, Hunks are still low in number...

                            Abhishek,

I think you guys are wrongly suspecting the fuel tank lid. AFAIK, petrol smell through the key hole is normal; and if fuel lid is completely closed then petrol won't go down to carburetor from the tank, as you might be knowing.

But you have mentioned there is petrol smell during noon, is it because petrol is getting overflowed from carb if you are not closing the fuel cock?
The probability is less for this in 4-stroke bikes, but do check it.

Petrol evaporating through key hole will not be enough to spread the smell like you have mentioned, I think.
