There should have been some issue with his ride, 87 is too low for a pulsar.Whats your weight by the way

Friends, i need ur comments to correct any mistake i did in riding...

And last day, i had ma first fall down from ma ride. Just in my college porch. I was trying to avoid a crash with one of my friends bike, but i think i've used that front disc only. Bike slipped off ma hand. And for my fortune i was able to avoid that crash, but i'm totally dpressed..
Crash Guard got some scratches and the silencer's cover also got scratched.
The worst thing is that head light's corner also has some scratch, not clearly noticeable, on the glass. Any way thank god for avoiding serious injuries not just for me, but for ma friend who was on pillion at that time...

            • @itssaurabh.negi- Clean the carburettor and re tune the engine. Air fuel mixture is not easy to play with. A lean mixture is harmful as well as a rich mixture is also harmful. A rich mixture will not allow the engine to reach its top speed. A well tuned carburettor will behave as an Fi unit. From your case it looks like there is dirt in carburettor so get it cleaned from a good outside mechanic and tuned. Also check the air filter as SVC usually do not clean the air-filter and this i have seen it.Also avoid rich mixture as your engine is designed to run with lean mixture. In fact all modern engines are designed to run with lean mixture and if you run it with rich mixture excess carbon deposits will hamper performance and a rich mixture decreases top speed. Moreover get your clutch checked if it is tight then it will be slipping without you knowing. Overdrive long termer extreme had a faulty clutch plate at 9k kms and was changed under warranty so get that checked also from SVC. Also i will ask my mechanic about your problem and let you know.

It is very much possible for extreme to reach 116 kph as its true top speed is 114 kph and since the digital meter is accurate as in zmr so 116 is possible even it can go more. Usually hero Honda engines take 7-8k kms for completely opening up so a bit more is also possible. In my friends extreme with analog meter i have seen the needle to nudge near 130 kph while crouched. I haven't tested it on my new digital model extreme as it is new but i regularly touch 90 kph on NH at 6.6k rpm with just 1/4 throttle open. Let it run for around 7k then i will test its top speed.
87 kph is too low for a pulsar as my joy which is a 100 cc bike touches 110 on speedo(somewhere around 96 kph actual on gps) .
Maybe the pulsar clutch was slipping as there clutch plate lasts very less. Moreover pulsar have highly inaccurate speedo, if the actual speed is 115 kph it will be showing 128 kph on speedo.

If it works only at the end and is too light, then you have too much clutch free play, I guess.

When my splendor was having clutch issues, on downshifting and accelerating while climbing a slope, the bike used to vibrate a lot.
Also if you give a sudden 1/2 throttle after you upshift to topgear, the rpm will increase, but bike won't speed easily. You can hear a clutch-slip kind of sound from engine that time.

These were the symptoms for me, but might differ for you.

                    • Met with an accident today. No injury as such but enough damage to my bike.both front foot rest broke (dont know what wil i do,coz from last 6 six month they are not in stock here ). front brake lever broken along with its casing in handle bar,i guess whole the front portion (with brake fluid container,RVM)will be changed.
I m worried as next two days i m out of station, will be giving my bike to SVC on Monday morning. How much it gonna cost, any estimates.

                            • Sorry for the OT guys, but had to share this amongst my brotherhood!

Kolkata Leg of the Grand Indian Roadtrip

The GIR team came to Kolkata on their return leg and boy it was awwwzzzomm!!

This was also the first time that I rode in such a Mega-Group ride and you bet, it was all but fun! Only bikes and biking and an assembly of hardcore bikers

                              My FB Albums Link

I accompanied the team right from 17th evening and led them to Victoria Memorial on 18th morning. We started at 5:30 am coz in Kolkata, the sun rises pretty early and it also gets quite hot! So the ride had to be as early as possible (and feasible)

                              • i was off for 5 days, reached home last night, today morning 9:00,

i started my cbz, with out any chock or other trouble, it started.

it was on nutral, i let it run for a while, idle rmp was set to 1400, so duiring first start its shows only <1100

in about 30~60 seconds, it turned off, i first thhought petrol might gone to reserve.

so i put it in reserve n tried but no way it was not starting.

i tried applying chock, then also no way

then my dad came and said (Mech Engineer by education) the spark plug might be wet with petrol

so i waited for a while and started then it started but only lasted a few seconds

then i incresed the idle rpm and set to 4000k(not knowing but i rotated to the incresing side) and stareted, but failed

waited some time then tried and started successfully

I lowered it to 2000k then gradually to 1500 and went a ride of 40km(20+20)

on the ride during first 10 kms, there i felt some missing or .. i dont know what to say, it was similar to the petrol going to reserve from on

                                what might be the reason?

i will leave home today evening and return back only on friday or thursday evening.
what should i do to with my byke on keeping still for 5 days?
