The head cover oil seal has become hard like stone...need to replace it but no stock in SC...think there are 2 oil seals on top....can i get it from outside guys ? SC people are saying you wont get it outside .

HH has now changed over to Bybre brakes. Got to ride an extreme with it today. I waw like :O Theres day and night difference wen compared to my Hunk. It really pisses me off.
How can I get that kind of braking on my bike..?

No More Engine Noise

As far as i know rear one is Bybre. U can go for KBX/Nissin brake pads to get better braking.

I was having noisier engine from past few month. Told my native SVC about this in Free as well as Paid service but no attention given at all.So i tried another one today and told them about my problem.Finally it got rectified,my tensioner lifter assembly was faulty as reported by mechanic thus causing tak-tak noise. charged 240(incl labour+tax). difference is obvious and clear.i feel happy now .

@senior members : what is the role of this part,as i was suspecting tappets to be reason behind this strange noise.

^^That part the floor manager used a screw driver to loosen it when he was reinstalled my bore kit to fix the oil leaking...but dont know what its for.

Nope, the rear disk brakes are from Nissin.

Bybre brakes are a derivative of Brembo brakes I think. Their brakes are bound to be good. I wouldn't mind switching over to a Bybre setup if it's actually available. Good move from Hero, their bikes really feel underpowered in the braking segment when compared to other brakes in the segment. Especially the Apache and the FZ. One question though, do the brakes levers provide any feedback like the ones on the Yamahas or are they dead like they are on the Pulsars?

@Sibun: Any idea if the rear brake lever can be lowered a little bit?

@ Imran : we are grown up bikers,there should not be much of dificulty in something which is possible.would u mind sharing the rear disc setup as i forgot to notice in my frnds bike. it shouldnt be a tough one if there is a way.

That is "timing chain" tensioner. A faulty tensioner will cause excessive slack in timing chain as a result of which,the chain will make more noise.
I am wondering how it could go kaput so early.
Did you replace the guides along with tensioner ?

The service center guide are completely useless and they only want to sell spares from them.
I do not know how those a***oles doesn't change that each time they open head. There is a single gasket like oil seal and you can easily get it outside who stock hero spares. Or else go to honda and buy unicorns. Fit it using gasket sealant and leaking will stop.
Also regarding our mileage since your carb has dirt, it is not metering the fuel correctly.

As i have told before HERO is not only re-branding but making a major change in quality to take on its competitor. Bybre brakes were changed a long before. Most of the parts have changed vendor like brakes(bybre), bore kit(usha), brake pads(ANL), e.t.c.
You can get same type of brakes by changing the major kit and minor kit to BYBRE or KBX.
BYBRE is indian branch of BREMBO which is a joint venture between BREMBO and KBX.
So get a major and minor kit of KBX and change. Also change the pads to KBX. You will get that bite.
Rear disk brake cannot be adjusted for free play but can be adjusted for lever position.
For setting the lever position you can follow the following steps:-
1. Open the right side panel cover.
2. See the brake reservoir fluid.
3. From the reservoir to the pedal there is a linkage.
4. Adjust the linkage so that brake pedal moves down.Usually moving the linkage in will down the pedal.
5.Now adjust the pedal stopper to required height so that pedal stops on the stop.

See the circle part and you can see the adjuster for linkage.
After adjusting the linkage adjust the pedal stopper height.

If there is any oil leakage from your brake set up then you won't be able to brake, resulting an accident!!
