I checked the light its very very nice. i think the ordinary yellow is far better than the bluish bulbs. The thing i checked is while turning on the headlight the rpm is going down by 300-500rpm from the present. if i race the engine in netrel and maintain about 3.5k rpm at that time if i turned on the head light it will sudenly drop to 3k rpm. is it normal? after turning off the light it suddenly reach to the previour 3.5k rpm.

Thanks for the snap and the light is better than stock right ? have no idea why your RPM is dipping so much ...i faintly remember something like that happening and the SC people changed the fuse and everything was back to normal...wait for sibun to reply .

its nice to hear that light has improved. I guess that dipping in RPM is due to load increase on altenator. I know its direct fit and will soon try it when i m at home after 2 weeks or so.

As i have told earlier my headlight is now DC (god knows why is that so.i just removed HID from my system and put that Headlight connector to H/L bulb.Nothing else but now my lights are DC Guys need help to know where am i missing ?/

The lighting was very much improved now i can see alittle more range in my dim light and that too far better clear than previous 35w/35w
can you explain it will picturised setp by step for doing dc. sibun said that we need to reconnect the yellow wire. my doubt is is it behind the headlight assey or below seat?

If we rewind our alternator/stator for higher watts, is it only affect electrical warranty or it affect my engine warranty?

              • Hi Folks,

Hero hunk owner here, its a 2011 single disc version, almost 2 years and 16k completed, but never satisfied with the disc break, because to stop the bike I have to push the break lever hard and the play of break lever is also my concern, in hero honda bikes I think all are same, I have ridden RTR and pulsars also the play of the disc lever very so they work very efficiently in that case no matter even if you have to pull the lever hard, can we reduce that bloody play of the front disc lever because most of the time i wear gloves it became pain to push the brake lever hard because the space where it plays my fingers also take the place with gloves, a new assembly of front disc will work any idea or suggestion....?

According to my observation all the hero bikes has same problem with disc brakes, after changed there path from Honda I think hero should do something with disc brakes, I have a doubt regarding to put third party product is so that would be great but warranty will be void.

its good to know. Actually i havent converted to DC setup but it accidently started working as DC. I removed HID and reconnect Headlight wiring after then its working on battery rather than on Altenator (as in earlier times). Dont know where i went wrong, there was not much to revert from HID to Stock headlight. So i am worried in using 60/55W H/L as it will heavily drain my battery and i wanna use it on AC ONLY.

So can anyone let me know why my headlights are working on battery after HID removal :???

My battery warranty was cancelled after 3 months of purchase just because of my LED setup (electricals warranty is cancelled in real world,i dont care though) still its working fine no probs at all. cant comment about visor/projector but as EKM_Biker sir has reported, its OK to use it.

                      • @athulr- The rpm is dipping because of extra load. Nothing to worry. Even with stock bulb you will see RPM will dip by 150-200 rpm after switching on the lights. Nothing to worry as this happens only on neutral as the engine has no load.
I had previously explained suppose you are walking and somebody suddenly gives you a 5 kg bag, you will feel the weight. But suppose you are walking with a 50 kg bag and somebody will load you with another 5 kg, you will not feel much.
Same thing with engine, as at idle no load but when the engine is running on road then switching on the headlight will not cause any much load. But check the fuse under the seat to see if any has blown. But i am sure no fuse would have blown.
For converting to DC it will take hardly five minutes if you are experienced.
1.Open the seat and the right side panel.
                        2. See the RR unit. Pull out the connector.
                        3. There are four wires and the yellow wire is AC
                        4. Using a thin screwdriver pull out the wire from the socket such that it comes out with the clip.
                        5. Now using a four point relay connect the 87 to the yellow wire.
                        6. Take a connection from battery wire and fit it on relay point 30.
                        7. Take a wire from after ignition and fit it on 85 point on relay. This wire will serve a trigger for the relay to be on only when ignition is on.
                        6. Ground the point 86.

Thus your DC is converted and the relay will only work if your ignition is on. The switches work normally.
But first check yellow wire is AC or not and then proceed. I cannot remember properly.
If you want to switch to stock then just pull out everything and fit the yellow wire to stock connector on RR unit.

@itssaurabh.negi- Check the yellow wire from RR unit to front console. Somewhere it has been connected to DC. Check that yellow wire from RR and go on following it till the switch and console assembly, you will get the answer. While converting to HID this wire would have been converted to DC so that it can switch the HID to high and low.

@those who are suffering from disc problem check where there is leakage. My disc are perfect and brakes so hard that tyres screech in protest.
I suggest you to overhaul the complete disc.
                        Buy the following:-
                        1. Master cylinder overhaul kit
                        2. Dot 4 brake oil
                        3. Spirit to clean the master cylinder
                        4. Brake pads if worn
Go to a good mechanic and tell them i want to overhaul brakes. Usually a defective master cylinder piston is the cause when proper pressure is not transmitted and brakes feel weak.

                            • After very long time I liked hero add.Previous one which I liked was the adds of classic CBZ.which still drives me crazy whenever I watch it in youtube.
Good thing about new hero Xtreme is the inclusion of kicker but at the cost of legendary CBZ logo which really hurts me.Since CBZ logo belongs to honda, hero cannot use it anymore.
