@Sibun what is this clutch yoke any pics ?...i know how to adjust the play but i need to know what this yoke thing is to set it properly.

Also the strange sound from my kicker side it happens only when the engine is HOT and its sounds like this "tik -tik-tik-tik-tik" but very mildly...pickup,engine oil everything is good....can hear it even when i am engine breaking ie throttle fully closed.

Yes its a 5W bulb. Its hard to find in a truck repair shop i guess. Try getting the LED light (20 Rs ) of green/blue color.

Are you sure it's not Tappet Noise? Mine started developing tappet noise from around 12k km. And had the same symptoms. But I think mine was more from the left side of the bike. :P

Do LED bulbs have the same holder as the normal bulbs? If modification of the wiring is required, he will lose his warranty, which isn't worth risking for something like this in my opinion.

What i was referring to is a cheap LED bulb with same holding as OEM parking bulb. He can also opt for little more expensive LED lights (found on ebay etc )

no such modification is required to change it.

@Rohit : if u are changing the parking bulb,i would suggest you to change H/L bulb to 55/50 W(50-80 rs) and indicator buzzer(20-30 Rs) if u want to, coz these changes required opening of front viser. U just need a phillips screw driver (+ shape wala ) and a 10/11 tommey/wrinch/chaabi/paana :P

Actually buzzer is installed , but i need to change the headlight due to its low light...

My only concern is will a 50/55W bulb can directly be used in place of stock bulb..I have stock wiring and AC headlamp

Wont it affect my glass ...???
I will try to procure a yellow parking lamp , and order led ones later...

i recently fittes a Philips premium which is 60/55w, getting abt 1.5 times light than stock 35/35w
                its a direct fit,

My friend who fitted a hid (it have only high beam) got his reflector damaged, and the glass turned to slightly white, it happened after 1+ month of usage

Both have same connectors. Get a genuine 50/55W bulb and just replace it.There is a PIN holding the headlight.Push it downwards and move it left/right, then only the bulb will be free form the clip.mine also stock wiring. try to use low beam as much as possible.

EKM_BIker sir has confirmed that there is no such issue with heating/burning even afer 3 Hours continuous use. Try to use low beam more to reduce the heat little bit

Why 0W 40 is never recommended in bikes?
This is what i read in an interview by shell engineers when talking on lubricants for ducati moto gp bikes.
In cars the engine oil and gear oil are different. So the engine oil lubricates the engine only. So 0W grade is used. But in bikes the gears use the same oil as engine oil. For gears the thicker oil is recommended. But for engines a lighter oil is recommended, so a compromise is reached by using 10W 40 which provides adequate protection to gear box and also easy for engine to circulate.By using 0W 40 you are lubricating the engines but the gears and bearings will squeeze out the oil and thus they will not be lubricated properly. So by using 0W 40, your gearbox will be gone before you even change the bore kit.
How come?! The lower 0,10,15 and 20 numbers indicate the pourability (or thinness) of the oil, which aids easy circulation in a cold climate, when the engine itself is cold. Which will be but 10 minutes at the most, once the engine starts. As soon as the engine reaches operating temperature, the oil attains it's operating viscosity number, which is 30,40 or 50, as the case may be.

So in reality it is only the upper number which determines if one oil is thicker than the other! In other words, at normal engine operating temperature, 0w40/10w40/15w40 and 20w40 will have the same "thickness". And only the 20w50 oil will be thicker!

                      • Hi All,

I own a CBZ Xtreme which is now 5.5 yrs old and clocked 46000 kms, i have had no serious problems with the bike thanks to Hero Honda (Now Hero MotoCorp) quality excpet that i had to replace the headlight frame as it is not strongly fitted and i always feel a bad jerk in my back while going on potholes as the rear shock abzorbers are not so good.

But the main concern is Mileage, for the 1st 2 yrs i used to get 45-50 kmpl, but now am getting very bad mileage of 30-35. Inspite of getting it serviced from 2 diffrent places and doing settings in the idling and carburator and using shell fuel with a driving speed of 60 km contant am getting very poor mileage.

Any suggestion on how can i improve my mileage, is there any major work which needs to be done in the bike.

First of all welcome to xBhp buddy. As i have experienced earlier HH bikes were way better in build quality than those are being manufactured these days, even then these are far better in maintenance than most of the bikes. Get ur rear suspension check and replace/refill (if GRS) if required.

Did u recently visit any Service center/Mechanic for Servicing ur bike ? coz these changes in mileage occur mostly after servicing.

                          Check:
1)ur air filter/sparkplug/Clutchplates are good or not.
2)Ur tyre pressures is as prescribed 28(front)-32(rear). less or more air pressure affects mileage and yes if u fill 35-40 in rear tyre u will feel those jerks in ur back even more.
3)which engine oil are u using. 20W40 gives a lesser mileage than 10W30/40. I would recommend to use 10W30 or 10W40 in winters/cold and 20W40 in summers from Shell/gulf/castrol.
                          4)Did u ever cleaned your Sparkplug/carburetor ?

5)Check ur chain slackness and clean/lube it if required.

                          regards
Get these things checked/done by a good mechanic or urself (if u want to which we would strongly recommend)

while doing this becareful because sometimes the screw of chainguard (which is at 10oclock position/upper parts left side screw) penetrates deep and touches the chain which may damage the chain

Was planning of purchasing a can of Chain Spray and another of Chain lube. Reviews if any would be helpful.
Have used the 'traditional' way of cleaning with kero and lubing the chain in SAE90 gear oil but just for the sake of using a spray, want to try them out on my Hunk.
Motul/OKS/TVS? any others? Pics would be appreciated.

Shopkeeper recommended me some chain spray it to be faster method...

My friend uses it on his apache..It cleans upto some extent..But not very thoroughly as kerosene method...

I use Castrol GL-4 90 grade gear oil...Its good and makes chain noise quite low..
